Poor Sam Houston. 0-7 but only lost to BYU by 14, Air Force by 10, Jax St by 7, Liberty by 5, and now to FIU in double overtime.
Sam is in it for the long haul but it’s going to take time for them to get there. They recruit Houston like crazy and there is so much talent in the region that they will eventually figure it out. Moving to FBS in Texas is a massive step but they have the resources to succeed eventually.

It definitely felt like they shotgunned their jump. JMU has been waiting for this for over a decade and they're obviously hitting the ground running. I don't blame them though -- FCS is dying, imo. Might as well take a spot in an FBS conference when you can.

I wonder if they'll start scheduling SFA again.

Fuck SHSU! They had less than 4,000 people at that game. They should bus in the prisoners.

I hope they go winless for the rest of the school's existence.

Saturday needs to be the beginning of Texas’ revenge tour for the rest of the season. I’m still reeling from the loss and we need to score about a million points Saturday to get the taste out of my mouth. Holgo’s teams can’t play defense so it should be a rout and we have a ridiculous record after losing to Oklahoma. Win out and we’re in. Lose one more and the Sark train will start to get pretty wobbly.

Yes, but in-person advance scouting isn't (I had no idea this was the case before today).
It was ended in the 90s as a cost-saving measure. Not because there was any sort of unfair advantage.

There are no penalities for sign stealing. This is simply the NCAA trying to embarass Michigan for refusing to knuckle under and ask "How high?" when the NCAAS says "Jump!"

Oklahoma State's basketball coach certainly agrees.

Mike Boynton - NCAA owes OK State apology for postseason ban - ESPN

Mike Boynton -- whose Oklahoma State team was banned from the 2022 NCAA tournament for its connection to the FBI's 2017 investigation into college basketball corruption -- said the NCAA owes his program an apology, after Kansas last week became the latest school to avoid major penalties stemming from the scandal.
...
The IARP did not issue any postseason bans or significant penalties in the cases it adjudicated for LSU, Louisville, Arizona and NC State, all schools that were tied to the FBI's investigation.

Oklahoma State chose to work with the NCAA over the IARP in its case.

They’re real good. But yes I don’t truth him to win a game at Columbus either.

I’m curious if Tennessee can knock off Alabama this year. Been a long time since they did.

Correct. Coaches were happy when advanced in-person scouting was eliminated. It was costly and likely didn't have much of an impact once more games were televised.

The NCAA likely has something of significance on Michigan for the Big Ten to notify all of Michigan's future opponents this season. That is...unusual.... The NCAA has a ton of silly rules but the Harbaugh/COVID recruiting stuff was black and white. Michigan/Harbaugh lied about it. They deserve whatever comes from that. They (Michigan) also lose benefit of the doubt when that same leadership is so outspoken about this accusation. Harbaugh's statement said more than it should have IMO.

NCAA investigations are inefficient are rarely result in anything of significance but Michigan should absolutely wear this public shaming. They've suspended one of their staffers. They got caught again. If the dunce hat fits...
