Ok, can someone walk me through this like I'm a kindergartner?
Currently we have directv, with three tvs. Two of the tvs are not "smart," but our main one is. When we want to watch directv, we use the input that is connected to the directv box on the main tv. When we want to watch something on Hulu, or Max, or Peacock (which we all pay separately for), we have to go into the smartv's menu and pick the relevant app. We can't currently stream on the other two tvs, except we have an old apple tv box on one of those tvs.
I signed up for sunday ticket through youtube. To get it, I go into the smartv apps and click on the youtube app, and then it shows me a menu with various options to watch the games. But if I want to watch my local tv games, I have to change inputs on the tv and go to the directv box, which fucks up youtube and requires me to go back into the app and start over when I want to switch back. Directv was much more seemless with Sunday Ticket -- everything was just in the guide.
I'm going to cancel directv and try YTTV. First question -- what will I need to get tv on the two non-smart tvs? Second, how will this all work on the smart tv? Do I now watch tv solely through the youtube app on my tv? What about Max and Hulu, etc.
Sorry, not exactly sure how to ask the question -- I'm really tired of fucking around with multiple remotes and inputs.
