I’m not sure I’ve ever seen players act like this. Someone said it earlier, but even guys that look possibly paralyzed don’t get this reaction.

I really hope I’m wrong but fuck this is bad.

Oh man. Opted to just check the game thread instead of turn it on.
Saw the hit on YouTube. So hard to tell what could have happened. Terrifying.

Sounds like he was loaded into an ambulance and was receiving oxygen.

I can’t imagine the players getting back out there and playing this out. I’m sure they’ll have to but still.

If they were administering oxygen as the announcers said, he’s breathing.

The NFL continues to be so fucking dangerous.
I agree, but this play seemed remarkably ordinary. The degree of violence on that play wouldn’t have been out of place in any contact sport.

ESPN intelligently just running promos during the breaks and not commercials.

impossible situation, I trust Joe Buck.

Definitely. It’s a weird one. Tua’s was such an obvious head trauma - where this felt like nothing. Is it possibly cardiac arrest?

The Dennis Byrd hit was pretty similar in that it seemed so unremarkable.

How can they emotionally continue? I heard someone say we will look back on football like we do bullfighting. Feels like it right now.

I hope that poor kid is okay.

Yeah guys, just lay your body on the line in the immediate aftermath of watching your buddy go limp on the field.
Yah. NFL should call this.
I dont know how anyone would be able to continue after this.

Temporary suspended?

just call it for today

My dad brought up this good point re: heartbeats:

“He got hit just at thr wrong time, between heartbeats. There is a fraction of a second that if you get slammed right then you heart just stops”

Kudos to Zack Taylor. Looks he was like “we can’t fucking play right now.”
