Terrible. This guy is so much fun to watch. And the ability he has to take over games made the Titans a threat to any team. Hope it’s not as serious as feared.Derrick Henry's season may be over, per Schefter.

He's been indestructible for so long, it's shocking to think he might miss the rest of the season. It absolutely sucks, Henry is one of the most enjoyable players to watch in the NFL.That’s brutal. Glad he got some guaranteed money because that can’t be a good injury for a dude his size (or anyone).
They'll either trade or sign for a new starter is my guess, McNichols is the receiving back 21 catches in 7 games. He's been indestructible for so long, it's shocking to think he might miss the rest of the season. It absolutely sucks, Henry is one of the most enjoyable players to watch in the NFL.
I guess Jeremy McNichols will be a big fantasy pickup. But he's no Derrick Henry.
Darrynton Evans was supposed to be the backup and get some change of pace carries, he started the year on IR (just like he ended his rookie year) he came off IR, got 2 carries in his first game, knee felt wrong, got pulled out... back on IR this time for the year.I couldn't remember who the Titans backup RB was so I looked it up.
Holy hell do they lean on Henry. Henry has 219 carries on the year. McNichols has 7 carries! It looks like they have a 3rd stringer, Mekhi Sargent who has 2 carries on the year. Tannehill has the 2nd most carries on the team with 23 and I'm sure a handfull of those are kneeldows. Incredible.
There's no way they'll lean on McNichols, he's purely in on passing plays. We'll need to get someone in before the trade deadline closes this week. He's been indestructible for so long, it's shocking to think he might miss the rest of the season. They've got Darrynton Evans who was a third round pick last year, who would have played more this year, but he's been injured himself and landed on IR on Friday. Just killer timing on that front too.ill has the 2nd most carries on the team with 23 and I'm sure a handfull of those are kneeldows. Incredible.
Yup. Easily top 3 on my favorite non-Pats. Simple reality is that a lot now falls on Tannehill, AJ, and Julio’s balky hammy. He's been indestructible for so long, it's shocking to think he might miss the rest of the season. The biggest focus of Volin's Sunday Glob football page was Henry as the last of the disappearing workhorse RB.I couldn't remember who the Titans backup RB was so I looked it up.

219 is just way too many carries at this point. Joe Mixon is next at only 137! Also, Henry led the league in carries the previous 2 seasons. It sucks, but it was practically inevitable. It's a tribute to how incredibly strong and tough he is that he's lasted this long without an injury like this.I couldn't remember who the Titans backup RB was so I looked it up.

Sounds like Adrian Peterson could be the move. There's no way they'll lean on McNichols, he's purely in on passing plays. We'll need to get someone in before the trade deadline closes this week.
Why? He's washed, hasn't played in a year and is 36.. also he can't catch the ball.Sounds like Adrian Peterson could be the move.

He had an uneventful campaign with the Giants last year; he is a FA.Is Dion Lewis on an NFL roster? Injured/retired? He has experience in the Titans system.
And now he may disappear too.The biggest focus of Volin's Sunday Glob football page was Henry as the last of the disappearing workhorse RB.
Top 2 really isn't as significant this year, correct? Only the top gets the bye? Regardless, the AFC is wide open! The Henry injury really changes the landscape of the AFC. Tennessee was really gaining the inside track for one of the top two seeds with their record and a head to head win against Buffalo. The AFC South is terrible so the division is still winnable, but the Titans aren’t what they were 24 hours ago.
I think he was a legit MVP candidate. Sure, he was only around +1600 now because of the "it's a QB award" narrative. But like many things, that narrative would have gradually changed if he continued to trend towards breaking the record in 16 games. A lot would have depended on the QBs too. What if there were bunch of QBs having great years but no one really stood out from the pack?Henry was +1600 to win the MVP (8th place) and the only non-QB on the list.
Are Lisfranc injuries generally the cause of build up of wear and tear or a specific misstep?Sounds like a Lisfranc injury for Henry since they got an MRI. Jones fracture can be diagnosed with just an X-ray. Lisfranc definitely ends his year and could potentially have ongoing ramifications. Sucks, the guy is fun to watch.
They were saying 6-10 weeks, so wonder if they got the MRI just to be safe?Sounds like a Lisfranc injury for Henry since they got an MRI. Jones fracture can be diagnosed with just an X-ray.
