You can’t play them that way. Look at what they did to Kansas. No team finds the open man better. And they all nail their shots. How do you not stop the same kid from beating you over and over again? Just look across the court at what Nova is doing to Wagner, and figure it out. At some point, you just have to bite the bullet and say "We're not going to let him beat us, and if someone else does, so be it."
It really is Donte's inferno.lifting the Cats from purgatorio to paradiso
He’ll get his chance to be “the man” next yearDivincenzo is a good player and all, but this is ridiculous. Kid was a 39% shooter from 3 this year, and he's 5/7, and he was 47% from the floor and he's 10/15 tonight. He only averaged 13ppg this season. He's at 27 now.
Everyone not named Divincenzo is 3/16 from 3 for Villanova tonight. Take your chances. This isn't working. You can’t play them that way. Look at what they did to Kansas. No team finds the open man better. And they all nail their shots.
It’s a good coach and a good defense but they are college kids who had two days to prepare. You can’t just expect them to throw everything away and key on a guy who wasn’t in the starting lineup.Everyone not named Divincenzo is 3/16 from 3 for Villanova tonight. Take your chances. This isn't working.
Yup. If Spellman stays (he should), they’ll be loaded again.Looks like Nova has a 5 star PG coming in and a couple of 4 star wings as well.
Brunson can play as a grad student also. He may stay.Yup. If Spellman stays (he should), they’ll be loaded again.
Yup. Nova played great D and Divincenzo killed them.Just tip your cap. This is a mismatch. Best team in the country is playing like it against an overmatched opponent.
Wonder if he could be pried away to Duke or UNC when retirements happen.Wright is the new God of college basketball.
Is be surprised, but you never know.Brunson can play as a grad student also. He may stay.
Not sure why he would. He’ll play at the next level.Brunson can play as a grad student also. He may stay.
I think more likely NBA money if he leavesWonder if he could be pried away to Duke or UNC when retirements happen.
I think he has some second round grades. He’s a bench rotational player at the next level. Not sure why he would. He’ll play at the next level.
Staying another year won’t change that. Time to cash in whatever he can.I think he has some second round grades. He’s a bench rotational player at the next level.
No but he might choose a 3rd championship.Staying another year won’t change that. Time to cash in whatever he can.
Not gonna happen. Nothing left to prove at this level. Its his turn to get paid officially. No but he might choose a 3rd championship.
No way. This is his dream job.Wonder if he could be pried away to Duke or UNC when retirements happen.
He has imo the best job in college basketball. He won’t go anywhere except maybe the NBA, but I doubt he leaves anytime soon. It’s a dream job.Wonder if he could be pried away to Duke or UNC when retirements happen.
I liked it but not many had love for 2011. And the final UConn v Butler was brutal. Was this the worst FF of all-time?[
I think the one UCONN won by scoring 56 and 53 was worse but those of you who root for the Huskies probably don't.Was this the worst FF of all-time?
That had a good semi (1 of 2)I liked it but not many had love for 2011. And the final UConn v Butler was brutal.
He leaves if Brett Brown falters or decides to hang it up.He has imo the best job in college basketball. He won’t go anywhere except maybe the NBA, but I doubt he leaves anytime soon. It’s a dream job.
VCU was a cool story and played Butler tough.I think the one UCONN won by scoring 56 and 53 was worse but those of you who root for the Huskies probably don't.
Brown’s not hanging it up anytime soon. He went through a lot to get the type of team he now leads. He’s not going anywhere. He leaves if Brett Brown falters or decides to hang it up.
Yup. I fooled myself into thinking that Michigan’s hot start was a sign of a tight game. But ‘Nova was too tough and too deep.Sixth team in NCAA tournament history to post a point differential of +100 during a title run. A dominating team.
The best player in the country played like shit and they still won the title game by 20. Yea, he good.Jay Wright is quite simply the best coach in America
I tend to agree, but he's an interesting case in that people remember the titles a lot more than the round of 32 flame-outs w/teams that had won 29, 33, and 32 games.Jay Wright is quite simply the best coach in America
Avg margin of victory in tourney was 16ptsSixth team in NCAA tournament history to post a point differential of +100 during a title run. A dominating team.
I agree but I also dont see Wright leaving Nova to go rebuild in Phoenix or Orlando. He will only go to the NBA if he gets the ideal spot. My guess is its Philly at the top and then maybe something like the Bucks as another option.Brown’s not hanging it up anytime soon. He went through a lot to get the type of team he now leads. He’s not going anywhere.
