Give Tuukka a huge quasi-assist on the goal. He made the stops he needed to to put this team in the position to take the lead.

A big yup on that one.

Solid period I think. Some slop, some solid play. But they won the first.
Yeah the ice wasn’t crazy tilted or anything like that. Some stuff to clean up but they’re playing with more life than they showed in any of the bad periods last series. Krug just needs to fix the hole in his stick.

I thought both teams played well. The Bruins aren't going to be able to dominate possession against Tampa like they did at times against Toronto, but the D and Tuukka played well.

Still struggling to clear the zone, though.
And this is what will have us on edge for the whole game. We’re getting good opportunities, but they tend to be one-offs, whereas Tampa keeps getting multiple bites at the apple.

Hard to complain about that first period, though. If we keep getting Game-4-in-Toronto Tuukka for the rest of the game, we might just pull this out.

Bruins are having a bit of trouble getting breakouts with Tampa’s two man forecheck so far
This. That two man forecheck is a beast. Even if we manage to clear the zone, we're lucky to get it passed neutral ice, and when we do, it's nothing more than a dump and chase that we generally lose.

Is it weird we played the Maple Leafs and Blue Jays last week and now we got the Lightning and Rays.

Something I learned today watching the NESN recap specials: opposing teams call Pasta ‘Noodles’
