Actually, I had it this way too, but maybe Ryland should be ahead of Zappe. Zappe did lead a TD drive.1. Mac
2. Zappe
3. Ryland
This is the way.
The punter kicked one 74 yards. Did not get the memo.Might need to cut Rham and Zeke, they clearly didn't get the memo.
That was the Giants punterThe punter kicked one 74 yards. Did not get the memo.
But Zappe also threw a terrible interception, and should have had another one. Also, on that TD drive, didn't he have negative air yards?Actually, I had it this way too, but maybe Ryland should be ahead of Zappe. Zappe did lead a TD drive.
His late career resurgence has been remarkable. It seemed like he was just about done when the Pats signed him, he was easily our best offensive player for a full 3 seasons, and he's been great with Tennessee (21/22 on field goals including 3/4 from 50+, and 15/15 on extra points).BB the GM for getting rid of the teams best player in Folk.
Ryland is a real one. He knows what's up. Ryland should never have to buy a drink in New England.Ryland is now tied for last in the league in FG%. Waste of a pick.
T/F, that [missed] kick will be more consequential for the Pats franchise than any kick of Gostkowki's career.Ryland is a real one. He knows what's up. Ryland should never have to buy a drink in New England.
If we were really trying to win and I believe BB was, there were a lot of bad coaching decisions this week.Belichick. if we wanted to win that game, burning a 2nd half timeout after the failed attempt to draw them offsides on 4th down followed by a fucking punt (instead of just taking the 5 yeard penalty) would be seen as one of the most braindead timeouts ever.
Unrelated, but just ONCE I would love to see an offense in that situation (clearly trying to draw them offsides and the defense just as clearly not going for it) snap it directly to the running back with 10 seconds on the play clock. Any defender on the line is sitting on their heels in that situation so as to not jump offsides, it seems like it'd be a lead pipe cinch that the O-line could push them back to gain a yard or two.
Oh, I can immediately think of one that meant moreT/F, that [missed] kick will be more consequential for the Pats franchise than any kick of Gostkowki's career.
Is his dad Jay North?Zappe has been demoted from starting QB to dude who gets sent to the packie by his dad to get a sixer.

Or Calvin. Both our QBs looks like grown Dennis the Menaces.
The big fuckup, imho, was second down on that sequence after gaining 6 on first down. Thought they should have run in that spot, not thrown a crappy pass (can't remember exactly what the pass was). Jones got TWO chances to burn you, not just one.If we were really trying to win and I believe BB was, there were a lot of bad coaching decisions this week.
I know particularly on the 4th down calls BB has always been fairly conservative and you live with that, but when you don't have the GOAT and you're trying to win lower-scoring games with your defense these marginal probabilities matter a lot and you really want to be maximizing your chances.
- The whole QB "controversy" was stupid, if you're just trying to win this week and Jones seems broken why not run a simple offense with Zappe since your defense is playing well. That's what ended up getting you your only points anyway.
- Why are you punting on 4th and 7 from their 37 in the 1st quarter? You want to maximize points there and you have a guy who can supposedly boot the ball. Try a fucking FG, if you miss it whatever. If you make it you're playing with the (small) lead and maybe the rest of the game goes different.
- On the 2nd INT, just run a draw, it's scoreless, 3rd and 4 on their 23 and you have a QB who loves to burn you with these kinds of INTs.
- I get that you want a spark and the hit should have been penalized but generally I wouldn't have my only decent WR also returning punts.
- As noted, playing for the tie at the end. What are the chances you even get the ball into the red zone in OT? Missing the FG is appropriate for that kind of coaching.
I would have loled if not for the sleeping baby I’m holding. I nearly did anyway. He got demoted from being the back-up to being the starter.
We could have been stuck in mediocrity instead of landing a potential franchise cornerstone? Oh, shucks! It’s frustrating seeing all these very mediocre AFC teams playing meaningful games. Teams that had glaring defects but found a way to win a few games they were in position to win and now are just trying to get to 9 wins and maybe peak at the right time. Raiders, Broncos, Colts, Steelers. We could have been that but every time they were in position late they fucked it up, except the Bills game.
Teams giving up 10 or less are 50-2 this season.6th time in the Super Bowl era a team gave up 10 points or less in two straight games and lost both.
I'd love to be having the Broncos' or the Steelers' season right now. Call it mediocrity, or whatever, but it's basically what we are aspiring to right now. One good draft is not going to change that -- even if we end up 2-15 and get the second pick, and get a franchise type player we're not suddenly going to become the Chiefs or the 2000-20 Patriots. The Steelers' and the Broncos' 2023 season is pretty much what we can aspire to in 2024 in the best case scenario. Winning record after Thanksgiving, some thrilling wins, and a chance to make noise in the playoffs. That's what we're aspiring to, and so, yeah, I'd rather have it right now instead of some fools' gold hope that losing is actually going to suddenly revive the glory days.We could have been stuck in mediocrity instead of landing a potential franchise cornerstone? I totally get what you're saying but this is what a lot of critics have been saying is the WORST thing for the team long term. Yeah, have a mediocre season, hoping to MAYBE get into the playoffs before getting whipped by an actual good team.I'd love to be having the Broncos' or the Steelers' season right now. Yeah we are all wishing the Sox just traded everyone at the last 2 deadlines to truly restock for 2024 and beyond. Instead they played wishy washy and had a mediocre record.I totally get what you're saying but this is what a lot of critics have been saying is the WORST thing for the team long term. Like, that's worlds better than 2-9 like we're experiencing, but that's the limbo that everyone is saying this team needed to avoid in order to truly rebuild.
