Re: 2018 Regular Season Thread
I told you I want a piece of this team in the ALDS when we are whole again, as we are now.
This overrated Red Sox team is beatable, very beatable, and IMO we'll kick their asses ... when we are whole.
So, a New York state of whine?I never tire of the, “...but I thought we were going to win!” post-loss whining. The front-running culture really shines through.

I don't thinks that fair. These guys are pros and accomplished a lot to get to the Bigs. They are all expecting good things to happen, and expect to win. Not a Yankee thing.I never tire of the, “...but I thought we were going to win!” post-loss whining. The front-running culture really shines through.

This strikes me as an extremely inappropriate post in a YED thread.I don't thinks that fair. These guys are pros and accomplished a lot to get to the Bigs. They are all expecting good things to happen, and expect to win. Not a Yankee thing.
Again, if Steinbrenner were still alive, he'd be ripping the shit out of this team for talking about how "proud" they are of "fighting." They didn't fight -- they sank like a stone and didn't get a single hit in two games in their own stadium with runners in scoring position."If we don't win [it all], it's not a great year for us," reliever Dellin Betances said in February. "It's probably the first season I've ever come in with those expectations."
I guess the abuse of Luke Voit in the game threads uncovered my hidden humanity. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to despise the Yankees. This strikes me as an extremely inappropriate post in a YED thread.
There is rabid Yankee fan in our city that puts lots of money into a baseball facility. He put up bulletin board asking for baseball photos, I had that printed off ready to go when my son convinced me to be more subtle. Somebody on here convinced me to go with this:
For starters, Luke Voit is a member of the Yankees.I guess the abuse of Luke Voit in the game threads uncovered my hidden humanity. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to despise the Yankees.
This really needs to be shared with the entire baseball world.
I'm almost certain it came off SoSH.Where did it come from? I made one I swear is identical.
You should be Father of the Year!Monday at my son’s baseball practice, his coach was giving a little wrap up talk to the kids after practice. Now this guy is a HUGE Yankee fan — always wears all NYY garb at every game and practice — so at the end he says: “Now go home and watch the game tonight. If your parents tell you to go to bed, you have them call me.”
So my son, calmly sitting there holding his wooden Red Sox bat, yells “Yankees Suck!”

Now I’m not sure if he will play much in his next game, but it will have been worth it!
Kind of like plastering the "V" for Victory all over occupied Europe. This really needs to be shared with the entire baseball world.
This annoys the hell out of me:I never tire of the, “...but I thought we were going to win!” post-loss whining. The front-running culture really shines through.

Kimbrel was out of control. The Yankees did nothing but fail.the Yankees' valiant late-game comeback try in Game 4
Then you wonder how MFY fans get a bad rap; speaking of bad, that "NY" made out of a recycled license plate in the Rikers Island shop along with the cheeseball Mardi Gras bead chain is quite a get up, the young Jesse Ventura wannabe behind him certainly approves.
No kidding. I guess Didi got a single, but every other at bat in which a Yankee swung the bat in that inning produced an out. A single, two four pitch walks and a HBP on the first pitch. Valiant indeed! The Yankees did nothing but fail.
Meanwhile, Ted Allen sits there in the background and studiously ignores the whole thing.
Good catch; I'll reach out to him when I'm ready to refinish those antique coke bottles I found at a yard sale for short money.Meanwhile, Ted Allen sits there in the background and studiously ignores the whole thing.
