Part of the draw of SoSH is saving posted pictures of scantily clad females (and recently-deceased Massachusetts-born ballplayers) to my hard drive. Unfortunately, there are stupid a-holes on this earth seeking to make that task more difficult for no reason whatsoever.
Here's what I get when I right-click a posted SoSH image in Chrome:
Which works great. Image saved, and I can move on.
But here's what I get when right-clicking in Firefox (and Pale Moon):
I don't know why Chrome blocks it, but I'm going to assume this feature has somehow been added to the ProBoards software. Because there's no way any rational human being involved with operating this community could ever think to themselves, "Hey, I've got a GREAT idea for SoSH!!! And here it is!!"
This atrocity is similar to the "Theater" pop-up on Facebook. The lights dim, the image pops out. And it's garbage. Thankfully, there's a utility (Social Fixer) that kills it on FB.
When I click on "SAVE", it merely opens the image in another tab. I can save from there, but this whole thing creates multiple needless extra steps: I have to right click on the image again and choose my option. Once saved, I have to close the new tab. Then I need to navigate back to the SoSH tab. Finally, I have to manually close the theater photo window by either clicking CLOSE or hitting my ESC key. It's not just intrusive. it's visually and functionally obnoxious.
I can suppress this by disabling javascript, but then there's a warning at the top of the page telling me a number of functions here will no longer work. I have no idea what those are, so I'd rather be able to kill this feature inherently with a GreaseMonkey script or a Windows 7 config change. Or with a simpler solution if one exists.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
EDIT - Before anyone suggests I just use Chrome, here's why that's no longer an option. I'm a Pale Moon convert, and Couperin47 is my David Koresh.
