No, it is that they can't do it because of the cap hit.Is the first "no" about the additional cap hit?

How is he on rugby kicks? As some of us posted on the other thread, Hogan can be a backup lefty punter(!), has played lacrosse, was a UDFA, threw for a TD, and had his best games against NE. You couldn't draw up more intangibles that BB likes than that.
Satire, right?I mean, he was just out holding hands with Trump last week. If you think people in the league don't pay attention to that, you're nuts. Rubs me the wrong way, frankly.
The Bills had five days, right? I wonder why they did so immediately. Wouldn't it have been worse for the Pats to have some uncertainty over this for the next five days? Am I missing an angle here?He is a Patriot.

Chris Hogan will be a #Patriot. The #Bills declined their right of first refusal.
How many was Greg Salas going to catch a couple years ago, was it also 50?SiriusXM NFL Radio @SiriusXMNFL 25s25 seconds ago
"I wouldn't be shocked if Chris Hogan catches 50 plus passes for the Patriots next season" @PatKirwanCBS #FreeAgency
Did he have a hold on their cap and the Patriots at the same time?Only thing I can think of is that by doing it immediately, they remove the cap hold Hogan has on their cap so they can pursue other free agents right NOW instead of later.
Well, Salas had all of 6 games under his belt when the Pats brought him on board. Hogan has two full seasons as a fairly regular player, with 41 and 36 catches. I wouldn't be surprised if he posted 50 receptions, either, if he clicks with Brady. That's never a sure thing, of course. How many was Greg Salas going to catch a couple years ago, was it also 50?
I get that, as to them. But making the Pats wait would have theoretically hurt the Pats. Do they have the $ available for other players? Do they need to look at other WRs? Or even sign one just in case?Did he have a hold on their cap and the Patriots at the same time?
Maybe they just didn't need 5 days.
The team (Buffalo) he's got a RFA tender offer from has to reserve that amount, while the team that signs the RFA (Patriots) must hold the space on their cap till it's formally approved, so over that waiting period, both teams have to reserve cap at their offers until the deal's finalized.Did he have a hold on their cap and the Patriots at the same time?
So the only thing I can think of for why Buffalo would do it right now is to kick the cap hold off asap, because otherwise they could benefit from forcing NE to wait on other offers.Teams have five days to match the new offer sheet. During that time period the player will count on both teams’ salary cap.
This is the old "The Celtics Are Racist" argument, as evidenced by the fact that they had eight white players on the greatest team ever.Regarding the White Receiving Corps, and allegations of racism on the part of BB.
Isn't it kindof the opposite? He's picking up very capable receivers, who happen to be white, BECAUSE the other teams undervalue them...because they are white?
Shouldn't the racism label be on the other GM's, for possibly (subconsciously) undervaluing the white receivers?
