So KC pick 6 or shitty drive, punt, KC TD?

I’d kick if I had the choice. You get the ball either way, and would know what you need.

Whoa how did I not know there are new rules? Are you all saying that if SF scores a TD, the game isn't over? wtf

I think taking the ball makes sense. If you score, they have to match. If they match, you get it next. Plus their D is probably tired.

I’m probably in the minority but I hate that both teams are guaranteed an offensive possession. It’s a team sport. Three phases. All this does is put more emphasis on offense than the other phases, and the league has done enough of that the last 20 years.

Under these rules, isn't the best strategy to try an onside kick? If you get it, the other team had their opportunity to possess the ball, and otherwise you have to defend a short field but still get a chance to respond on the second possession.

Don’t you effectively give the Chiefs four downs even if you score? Seems far better to give up ball to start

Not going to be much of a rest for the defense.

Shanahan has coached uninspired starting at the play before the two minute warning and it will probably cost him the whole thing (again).

If onside kicks weren't nearly impossible now due to other rules changes, sure. As is, nah.
