I think people should call him "Johnny Cocaine" from now on.

I would say nothing will come of this but it is Cleveland and so therefore the worst must always happen.
I was coming here to post something snarky like "no great football player ever snorted coke," but then I saw this. So true.

I thought White Lightning was moonshine. It's a fantastic nickname though.

Rolling bills is for suckers/ sinus infections. There are so many available straws in a bar. That shows poor decision making. Bust

Is there a more juvenile and frat-boy thing in football than Manziel's stupid "money" gesture?  What an asshole.

I like it.  It beats Discount Doublecheck's "here's my belt!" move, for sure.

Having Super Villains to root against makes the world more fun.

I just feel bad that's its the good people of Cleveland that have to put up and will most likely eventually have to defend this asshole.  I just kind of feel that Cleveland deserves better.

As opposed to 95% of the sack and preplanned TD celebrations?

Most QBs don't have a "signature" move.  In fact, most players don't either.  The need to have a signature move makes him a douche, yes.

Like Aaron Rodgers.

Full disclosure, I enjoy that he gets people's panties in bunches for innocuous actions because I guess I'm an asshoke like that. No difference between him and a good WWF heel.

For those that care:

Per Jay Glazer - Hoyer has been informed he is starting this week.
(no link, heard it on Dan Patrick's show)

There's a massive difference. A WWF heel is working from a script, and I'd wager that most of them are decent people outside of that script. Manziel, on the other hand, doesn't need a script because he's naturally an asshole.

I can confirm that I saw the press conference at lunch. For those interested in proof, here's a link:

What a dumpster fire he's turned out to be. A few days ago he's saying how he needed to pay more attention to football, take it more seriously etc. Then on Saturday they have to send team security to his house to find him.

Fun Fact 2014 Season Stats:

Player A: 18/35 - 175 Yards, 0 Pass TD, 2 INT1 Fumble - Passer Rating 42.0
Player B:  19/27 - 182 Yards, 1 Pass TD, 0 INT, 0 Fumbler - Passer Rating 101.2

A: Johnny Manziel,
B: Jimmy Garoppolo

The term "all sizzle, no steak" was invented approximately 77 years ago, solely so it could be applied to Manziel in 2014.

Taking away all the Manziel hype...he's not even good. At like anything. Going to be an epic flameout.
I'm not sure I'd go that far. He's shown to have some pretty advanced skills in the art of douchebaggery. At least on the surface.

This is very true. And, showing how far being a douche can get you in this world, he'll continue to get chances over those with a better work ethic and better chance to succeed.

How dumb is Johnny? Audio clip on radio today: "I'm entitled to go out on weekends like everybody else; what's that, two days? That still leaves six days to practice."

I know I'm still recovering from my game yesterday...he does realize that Sundays are part of the weekend, right?

Dude, we have a quarterback. And I would take Rex as the Raiders coach in a Johnny Cocaine heartbeat.

In order to add some content to this thread, I think this likely has some negative impact on Winston's draft value. Obviously, Winston is a blueprint QB in terms of stature and resume (minus the picks perhaps) whereas Johnny Football is miniature, but JFF is proving just how damaging a poorly focused 1st round pick QB can be for a team. Based on resume and measurables, you would think Winston is the #2 pick, but I would not be surprised if he drops into the middle of the 1st round due to concerns that he would be Jamarcus or JFF redux.

Is he going to the Josh Beckett School of Media Relations?

Question: Any regrets?
Answer: My off day is my off day.
Question: Given that you were skipped a start with what was described as a tight lat muscle, do people have the right to question why you were golfing?
Answer: Not on my off day.
Question: Do you understand the perception that leaves when the team is playing as poorly as it is?
Answer: We get 18 off days a year. I think we deserve a little time to ourselves.

Considering he seems to take the Beatles tune 8 days a week literally, I don't know.

If Winston's name were Smith and he'd just won 26 consecutive games, a Heisman, a national championship, on the cusp of another...and had no "off-field" issues, he'd be the lead-pipe lock of the century to go #1 overall. On talent, Winston should go #1 overall.

Unfortunately, talent is just part of the equation.
