Dude…Bullshit … should be a Leaf PP for throwing his stick
https://tenor.com/bCyWq.gifLook, I get it, but I never understand why everyone immediately thinks the worst. Maybe if a pattern emerges sure but it's crazy to just assume the worst off what I thought was a fair question to ask
Sync up the B's radio feed. So much better. Why the hell do I have to be subjected to these Toronto announcers on NHL Network. They're unlistenable.
You can have that if we can get the McAvoy call back.Bullshit … should be a Leaf PP for throwing his stick
Oh they’re just insufferable. Why the hell do I have to be subjected to these Toronto announcers on NHL Network. They're unlistenable.
That's a good idea. I have the B's radio on the Siruis/XM appSync up the B's radio feed. So much better.
Craig Simpson in particular has such blue-coloured glasses on it’s insane. He wanted a penalty called on Ullmark.Oh they’re just insufferable.
I recommend just going through whatever streaming radio app you can use. The NHL doesn’t restrict the radio broadcasts of games and it’ll be miles ahead of SXM.That's a good idea. I have the B's radio on the Siruis/XM app
Last Cup was in black and white. Dying to see one in color.Oh they’re just insufferable.
hmmm … I’ve never found them particularly biased. But, as I’m a Leaf’s fan maybe that means they are? FWIW I don’t particularly like them.Oh they’re just insufferable.
They’re playing much better. This feels like playoff intensity. This one is definitely more entertaining than Thursday. Different level of engagement.
Their level of “give a fuck” is definitely higher tonight. They’re playing much better. This feels like playoff intensity.
It was probably an accident I’ll give you that.Craig Simpson in particular has such blue-coloured glasses on it’s insane. He wanted a penalty called on Ullmark.
To the Leafs fans, if Murray were called for it, how angry would you be?
And that’s the thing. The rule is there to keep a goalie from throwing their stick at the puck or carrier to disrupt the play. That wasn’t close to it.It was probably an accident I’ll give you that.
And that’s the crazy part. But since all media here originates in Toronto, the light all bends toward it.Cuthbert and Simpson aren’t Toronto announcers … they are (sadly): the main crew from HNIC
HNIC shows all the Canadian teams. The Leafs usually get the main early slot if they play on Saturday (unlike in my early years when it was always the fucking Habs)HNIC is Toronto.
Quoted for truth. And if you lot think Leaf fans are insufferable it pales in comparison with what other Canadian fan bases think - who generally despise all things Toronto. And for dammed good reasons all and all.And that’s the crazy part. But since all media here originates in Toronto, the light all bends toward it.
It’s probably similar to the perception of an East Coast bias in American media. Coverage is going to center on the population center. In the US, it’s vaguely the Atlantic coast, maybe a little toward the northeast. In Canada, it’s Toronto/Montreal.
I think everyone in these threads (and I’m certain the vets like @cshea know that), but I do think the combination of 1/3 of the country living in southern Ontario and the Leafs being far and away the only Canadian team truly capable of contending for the Cup means SN is selling out hard on the Leafs. It’s right up there with the network rallying ‘round the flag when a Canadian team makes it deep over the last few years.HNIC shows all the Canadian teams. I know a lot of people answered you, but they have a +65 Goal differential.. and have scored the most goals in the league. The next best team in terms of goal diff is +36.You just made my point. They are more or less the same team as last year ..unless the new coach is a genius ? Or this years goalie has stood on his head?
Well, we certainly get enough of of that with the Blue Jays. Personally speaking, nationalism is irrelevant with club sports.I think everyone in these threads (and I’m certain the vets like @cshea know that), but I do think the combination of 1/3 of the country living in southern Ontario and the Leafs being far and away the only Canadian team truly capable of contending for the Cup means SN is selling out hard on the Leafs. Benefit of the doubt from me, because Pastrnak is awesome.Murray didn’t play that great either
