Before the game, he said Cubs fans couldn't get any louder than they were in Games 1/2 and that Wrigley Field isn't a loud stadium to begin with. Why is the crowd getting on Gonzalez ? Or is it just a Saturday night in Chicago?
I don't know. Oh, I don't mind the Cubs winning the whole thing this year in an alternate universe, but in this one, I'd rather they wait. What are you getting at?
But look at all of the strategy!I would lose my mind watching NL games on a regular basis
It's a very tough call, I agree. Let the best team win.I don't know. Oh, I don't mind the Cubs winning the whole thing this year in an alternate universe, but in this one, I'd rather they wait.
Looks like his left arm could get spaghettified.I think Kershaw is a little too pumped, trying to do too much
After tonight he has the entire offseason to restLooks like his left arm could get spaghettified.
Thanks. That's about as controversial as it gets for AGon.Before the game, he said Cubs fans couldn't get any louder than they were in Games 1/2 and that Wrigley Field isn't a loud stadium to begin with.
I don't see them getting 4 baserunnersThe Dodgers offense is pretty mediocre. I don't see them scoring 4 runs tonight, but maybe they'll shock me.
I would be shocked if Bartman goes anywhere near there until after they win the WS.Paging Bartman and Leon Durham
please report to Wrigley Field pronto
I was at this game long ago in 1984, and Durham was the only guy who pulled the ball against Gooden all night. Last game I went to with my dad.Paging Bartman and Leon Durham
please report to Wrigley Field pronto
It's the price you pay when your ace comes up short when it mattersDoes Roberts go to the pen soon or does he die on this hill with Kershaw?
The latter.Does Roberts go to the pen soon or does he die on this hill with Kershaw?
He's gotta go to the pen right? They're hitting him hard even when they're out. And Dave Roberts is in "exit velocity is the only thing hitters can control" school of thought.Does Roberts go to the pen soon or does he die on this hill with Kershaw?
Stays with Kershaw, but it really doesn't matter. The three runs will be enoughDoes Roberts go to the pen soon or does he die on this hill with Kershaw?
The crowd is cheering like every Cubs ball off the bat is gone, even before Contreras' shot. Its a byproduct of their success coupled with tickets for these games being out of reach for your average fans. I suspect many at Wrigley tonight are newer or bandwagon Cubs fans which is a shame for the die-hards. Its not unique to them, of course. Its happened in every city where a team starts winning. But it makes watching games like this tough because routine fly balls are all gone until they land in the outfielder's mitt.Everybody's too pumped at riggly tonight.
He's busy telling everyone that he's a star. A noted raging assholeIs Cusack filming his own shitty Fever Pitch movie tonight?
I am watching with the missus and a friend, and I agree. They are jumping off the couch at fly balls and fouls, and I'm looking at them. Staying at my lucky spot now on the stairs, for my BFF the Cubs fan. Amateurs! The crowd is cheering like every Cubs ball off the bat is gone, even before Contreras' shot. Nice. It's the Price you pay when your ace comes up short when it matters
Yeah, it kinda is. There's no chance LA is coming back in this one ... if they even scoreAlso, this game is not over.
