CsBlog on some guys expected to play in Maine and how the Cs are strategically stocking their G-League team.

Thanks for posting

The G-League has really been used effectively by shrewd organizations (Miami, Toronto, Denver).

Eventually, I'd like to see the G-League further developed:
1. Teams go to 5 two-way contracts.
2. Increase player comp throughout
3. Combine the Vegas Summer League with the G-League.
4. Kick off the G-league season in Las Vegas with all the teams for a week.
5. Sorry Maine, but put these teams in their major affiliated cities
6. Experiment with rule changes & video replay
7. Televise games, besides needing my hoop fix, it would be fun seeing young players develop

#5 defeats one of the purposes of the league, and doesn’t really solve any problems.

Yep, I'm advocating for change. Which would suck for those gymnasiums in El Segundo etc

I think there could be a meaningful increase in popularity, and going to where the fans are would be inevitable.
More revenue = more pay for the players

around the way
I'm a huge fan of bumping the G league pay. Would be nice if the borderline NBA players had incentive to stay stateside instead of taking a Euro/Chinese contract. Some of those AAAA types would be mid season callups rather than having to decide whether it was worth the risk to buy themselves out of North Macedonia Series C. Not to mention that it would also benefit the G league quality.

Yea I'd really like the G-League players to get a sizeable bump, so much capital sloshing around the NBA these days, it would be nice if they looked out for the bottom rung. These guys get treated like absolute garbage, no PR or TV time for phenomenal athletes

ALSO having those fringe players start in the summer, would put them in "mid-season form" by November and may provide additional opportunity at the NBA level.
