Spurs looking better than they have tended to against Soton, who got all over them at the beginning of both games last season. Hell of a goal though.Good goal from Southampton.

Is there any better feeling for a local fan than going from junior to senior partner in a derby?Becker with a great individual effort to put Union up by 2.
It’s a lot of fun for sure. The only problem is I intended to buy season tickets after my first full season, and then they got unexpectedly promoted. And now I can’t get one.Is there any better feeling for a local fan than going from junior to senior partner in a derby?
How much money could you have won if you had wagered on Sess and Dier scoring the first 2 Spurs goals this season?Spurs get a second; Son finds Eric Dier who delivers a really clever header into the bottom right corner.
Ben Davies almost had the third too.How much money could you have won if you had wagered on Sess and Dier scoring the first 2 Spurs goals this season?

Little bit, although a less clear progression. I don’t have the local “talk shit to the blue guys in the office” angle that I bet makes it even sweeter though. You might be there too
The Union-Hertha rivalry is honestly pretty friendly, especially since they were separated for so long. Sure we want to beat them, but I wanted them to stay up, and I think they’d want the same for Union. I think Hertha fans will mostly be happy to see Union do well in Europa. It’s far, far kinder than Red Sox-Yankees, Spurs-Arsenal, etc. more good-natured ribbing than outright hatred. One of my friends who supports Hertha told me basically, “I was born into this. If I were picking, I’d be a Union fan.”Little bit, although a less clear progression. I don’t have the local “talk shit to the blue guys in the office” angle that I bet makes it even sweeter though.
On the balance I’m happy, pen was a bit soft but Doucoure had his arms around him like a basketball reach around - should be a pen. This Everton - Chelsea match is looking a lot like you might expect from a match with 0/22 players being actual strikers.
announce this after Mike Dean was hired to oversee VAR....hmmmmThe Premier League breathlessly announced, in the interests of transparency they would be publishing all (some, few , only safe?) VAR conversations post game. Does anyone know if this has actually happened?
edit: so much for that pipe dream

They also said they wouldn’t be stopping the match for emergencies in the crowd. £10mwait, Nottingham Forest does not have a kit sponsor? How much does it take to get SOSH on those kits?
https://www.the-sun.com/sport/5944119/nottingham-forest-no-shirt-sponsor/Nottingham Forest are certainly keen to secure a sponsorship agreement and the situation regarding the plain front of their shirts is not one they had planned for.
According to reports from the East Midlands, numerous deals have been close to being agreed but none have got over the line yet.
According to Sport Business, Forest chairman Evangelos Marinakis is holding for a £10m-a-season deal and was willing to start the campaign without a sponsor if his demands were not met.
