Yes, just like in the past, you can provide commentary and discussion in these threads.are they open for (useful) commentary during the season?

One thing we want to do with adopt a team is to generate more discussion about baseball in general. If you feel that something is worthy of a new thread then go ahead and start one. We want to avoid mega-threads here too. We can always break something out of the main team thread if it's generating discussion as well.Question for URI/those in charge. Are we trying to limit these threads to news only type threads, or are they open for (useful) commentary during the season?
There are a few teams left that only have one contributor. Go ahead and pick one of those and we'll add you to the list.Damn, nobody left.
Cool. The thread's up, so if you noticed any offseason moves I missed, go ahead and add them. I forgot how damn busy the Cubs were over the winter.I'll help out MidnightC with the Cubs.
Please do. I might go crazy if it's just me in there all year long.I would be interested in helping out with the Royals.
We don't want people to think that just the folks who volunteered to head up these threads are the only folks who can post in them. They are just like any other thread around here. If you have some news item or something else that is post worthy, by all means, post away. and if you feel that something would make for good discussion, start a new thread about it.Please do. I might go crazy if it's just me in there all year long.
I never thought you did and I didn't mean to imply that you did. I just wanted to make sure that everyone know they could post in them. Just trying to help create more good discussion here is all. It was just a good opportunity to remind everyone is all.Oh, no, I didn’t mean to imply that it was MY thread and only I could play in there. Hell, the more people taking part in talking baseball, the better. After all, that's what this is all about.
Hell...I'll take 'em, a couple of my closest friends are Mets fans, it'll help us bond.I've added the Mets, since I just put a bullet in that forum.

I'll start the thread tomorrow. I'll take help from any and all.
A MFY fan updating a thread about the Mets on a Red Sox board. This should be good. One of the guys I work with is a lifelong Mets fan - his family has had season tickets 4 rows behind the 1b dugout since the mid 60s....
Even though I enjoy the torment and heartache Mets fans go through yearly, I'll set that aside and help DH with the "other" NY team.
BTW, Who's got the Yankees? (ducks, and stays down...)
Do we need a thread for every series? I thought they would just use the original threads. Or maybe one per month.I'm assuming that the AAT thread owners are going to start the series threads. If anyone wants help/guidance on putting together the basic info that I usually include let me know.
Go for it. You don't need permission to contribute.Coming very late to the thread... I see that Baltimore only has one person involved. Can I sign up to be the second person on the Orioles' beat? The Orioles were my grandfather's favorite team for most of his life until he passed two years ago..
I'll add your name to the Os thread. If you have anything to contribute in any of the threads in MLB, go ahead and post. Thanks for offering.Coming very late to the thread...
