Shouldn’t have doubted Gretzky. 12 in four games and 15 in five games. And 10 assists to go with the 15 goals.I find it hard to believe that anyone has scored 11 goals in 4 games before Laine.

I think the only desirable assets they have right now might be Toffoli, Hagelin, and Muzzin.Kings just lost to VAN who came into today with 8 straight losses.
Kings are about to have a massive fire sale soon.
Yeah, it’s sponsored by one of the massive supermarket chains here, and it’s pretty much a standard part of a broadcast of a western Canadian team’s game. I just assumed it couldn’t happen anymore.Apparently, because of Laine's 5 goal game, a fan won a million dollars. Apparently, there is a contest that applies to any Jets, Canucks, Flames and Oilers games, and if a player from any of those teams scores 5 goals, a fan wins a million.

according to the article, it's the 61st time a player has scored 5 in NHL history, and first since Johan Franzen in 2011. Last time someone had 6 was Daryl Sittler against the Bruins in 1970.
Laine has 3 hat tricks, and 16 goals in 10 games in November.
They are a team full of Backes-level contracts. People underplaying their cap hit by 25-33%Kings putting Kovalchuk on the 4th line tonight, and only played him 25 seconds on the PP last night. Not sure what they’re trying to accomplish, but I can’t see this ending well. If they aren’t going to play him on the PP, what’s the point?
I haven’t really watch the Kings but he is their leading scorer albeit only on a 52 point pace. Maybe a shade lower than what they hoped they would get, but I don’t think he’s the reason they suck.
Perlini and Strome for Schmaltz. These two teams make some odd trades. My first instinct is that Chicago won this one, Strome is still only 21 and has a ton of skill. Schmaltz is the more proven player, but I think he's been carried a lot by Kane. Seems like Chicago is selling high and buying low.Chicago is apparently trading Nick Scmaltz to Arizona...
Edit: Friedman adds that Dylan Strome is one of the pieces going to Chicago.
I mean, that’s got to be the funnest locker room in the league right now.Buffalo just won their tenth in a row.....
I don't know what's going on anymore.
If a Calgary Flames player scores 5 goals, someone wins a million dollars courtesy of Safeway (or more accurately, the insurance company betting against that happening)...for whatever that’s worth. As someone who never watches hockey anymore, how often do guys score 5 goals in 1 game nowadays? Patrick Laine has 5 goals today and 11 goals in his last 4.
Yeah, someone linked to an article up above. A fan won $1 mil.If a Calgary Flames player scores 5 goals, someone wins a million dollars courtesy of Safeway (or more accurately, the insurance company betting against that happening)...for whatever that’s worth.
Has to be at least 40...maybe a year.Wilson tossed tonight for an illegal check to the head.
I think he clipped the shoulder first, but 100000% predatory and unnecessary. Blindside and way late. Last one was 25 reduced to 17. Don’t know where they start with this.
He can play legitimate hockey, which makes his cheap hits even more inexplicable. It’s Matt Cooke levels of “he just doesn’t get it” now, except Cooke could kill penalties. What exactly does Wilson bring to today’s NHL?
