So.. did the judges realize that Brown was dunking with his opposite hand? Or did that just not matter at all?

I don’t think dunking with your off hand is considered a big deal, tbh.

Jaylen did well, didn’t have any stinkers or multiple misses. And most importantly, he stayed healthy.

Some of this Saturday night presentation is unwatchable, like that passing thing in the skills competition.

They should strongly suggest that six legit NBA players take part in the dunk contest, and give them at least three dunks in the first round.

The three point contest is fine, and the NBA-WNBA element was fun.

Fix the dunk contest, and add more dunks, and streamline the skills competition, and that would go a long way to making this night more compelling.

He dunked with his opposite hand while jumping over someone.. with kind of a windmill. I dunno.. I can dribble with my left but that's pretty much it.. I'm impressed with the control.

Also happy he didn't get hurt.

Open the dunk contest up to anyone.
There are already people that do it for a living at contests that already exist. If they had one where it was open to anyone there almost certainly wouldn't be any NBA players.. which actually may be more fun.

Just here to say that I like the LED floor a lot.

Big improvement on the IST courts,m. If it's safer than those hastily painted surfaces, they should switch to this for IST.

There is zero incentive for NBA “legit players” to participate. There is a ton of disincentive. You’re delusional if you think JB making it as a finalist will get others - and if it does, is that a good thing? There is no creativity. You see these same dunks in a game given the style of defense being played from Dec-March in the NBA today.

Mac not having to launch himself using Shaq’s back/shoulders was the most impressive part of that.
I like that we can compare it to Jaquez' dunk over Shaq earlier, to see just how much higher up Mac got. He deserved to win this contest, but it's super dopey that he's even allowed in. If they can't get more than 2 NBA players, time to shelve it for another decade or so.

In 1977 I went to that high school all-star basketball tournament they used to have in Boston. Boston Shootout. At Northeastern, I think. Watched four games. What I remember is that the Boston game was the championship game and went into double-overtime (I think); and that the MC kept playing Maynard Ferguson’s “Rocky” so loud my ears were ringing for days; and that they had some sort of dunk contest, which was ok… but it was followed by Al Wood just doing a few dunks on his own, which (for the time) was spectacular.

TNT has Draymond Green front and center for their alternative broadcast

The fact is Dray probably boosts his media value by screaming at Refs, going unhinged, & slugging his fellow players...

Eh, this game isn't about the most valuable, those two are far more entertaining, all the little things DWhite does for winning aren't done in an All-Star game. KP on the other hand.....
Great passing is both entertaining and done in an ASG

Porzingis is averaging 20.2 points a game on just 12.8 field goal attempts. He averages 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks a game. All in just 29.5 minutes a game.

Dude is absolutely crushing it this year.
