I'm no expert, but it seems to me that that was relatively high level basketball.

Love definitely has a shot. He's still young and he's put up some tremendous years. Klay too. Unless you meant Tristan? ;)
So is Kyrie. He's only 25. And as far as the injury argument goes, it's not like he's Derrick Rose.

I think Kyrie has an excellent chance to make the hall but he's going to have to do it for another 9-10 years.
I think if he wins a couple more titles in Cleveland, he gets the Dennis Johnson treatment - an excellent PG who played on great teams.

I get Van Gundy's thing about the amount of contact post up players are expected to take in today's NBA, but look at what they dish out too. LeBron backing in flailing elbows...what's a defender supposed to do?

Warriors have far superior bench. Bron is going to have to play 40+ in every game.

Dennis Johnson is in the HOF. Thompson, Love, Irving and Green all have a serious chance.
DJ is in partly based on the 1979 season.

Klay's comp is Michael Cooper, another D and 3 guy (forum's phrase not mine) who has 5 rings and 5 1st team defense and 3 2nd team defense awards.

Now if Klay is traded to say Utah and becomes the Finals MVP then he'd have a case. Right now he's the #4 option on a great team just like Coop was, with zero 1st or 2nd team All-NBA.

The Cavs defense breaks down pretty easily when they are forced to defend more than one player at a time. I wonder how the Celtics would have done with Thomas and another viable shot creator. I wont argue that they would have won but they definitely might have made more noise against them.

Eh, never mind.

Hell, a healthy Thomas would've been more interesting.
