Interesting moment there, with the Mets' catcher talking to the ump about where Ruggiano was in the batter's box, got him to move him up an inch or two, then blew a fastball by him high and tight.

Yoenis boots it. At heart he's a soccer player. Scoring Turtle all the way from first isn't easy to do.

I've been saying for a while that his arm would be a lot more impressive if his glove hadn't been crafted out of a butcher's block.

They got Kershaw a nice lead.  Time for him to earn his money.

He's throwing a no-hit shutout tonight.

This game's over

So if the Dodgers could somehow pull this series out, they could go Kershaw in Game 2, Greinke in Game 3, both on regular rest.  Would be damn interesting to see who started the opener.
Slow down buddy. The Mets arent going to roll over.

I don't understand how everyone doesn't hate the Cardinals and their fans.

The playoffs don't tell you which team was best, the only thing the playoffs are good for now is giving one team a ring. Because baseball isn't about being the best in 5 games and it's not about being the best in 7 games. It sure as hell isn't about being the best in 1 game. It's about being the best in 162 games, and only one team can make that claim- the Cardinals.
100 wins in the toughest division in the history of the sport. Clinching the title of winning the toughest division in the history of the sport. That's your best team, that's your "world champion." The Cardinals- and no one else.

#Cubs confirm that Schwarber's home run ball is sitting on top of the right-field scoreboard.

Is it true that was the first series the Cubs have ever clinched at Wrigley? Seems impossible
It does until you realize the only series they've won since 1908 was the NLDS in 2003.

Well anyone who has spent time around athletes and baseball players in particular knows the aren't the most enlightened people regardless if whether they are down with Jesus or not. That Murphy is a rock-head should surprise exactly no one.

I'm not sure I get bringing de Grom in down by two runs and Kershaw pitching well.
I like it. You're at home and your showing you believe in your guys to get it done.
