Fun fact about David Andrews: only name to have appeared in both a Super Bowl and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Mark Wilson did makeup special effects on "Nightmare for Elm Street."

Marc Wilson was backup QB for the Raiders in SB XV (1981) and XVIII (1984). I don't think he actually got on the field, though.

Also Jim/James LaRue: James was Elm Street's sound engineer, Jim was the defensive backs coach for the 1985 Bears. Not sure if you count this as 'in' it, but you figure his coaching status would have some impact, as opposed to a reserve QB who got no snaps.

That said, Marc Wilson got some snaps in the 1983 playoffs but said snaps were only in the prior rounds, where each game he got one rush for -3 yards. Lots of other interesting other football and non-football names alike in there, like the ghoulish tale of baseball's Jim Doyle and his death, whose namesake did mechanical special effects design for film purposes.

If you add in the 2010 revival the list grows quite a lot, beginning with an honorable (albeit not qualifying) mention to Mara Rooney:

-James Davis, of the 1984 Raiders, but possibly goes under the Marc Wilson role, though PFR notes no snaps, but does mention the game in his postseason game logs, so may have been a STer? Can anyone confirm? Same name was the chief lighting technician.

-Robert Williams, 2x SB champ with Dallas, but logs show no games for him in either case, was a local location assistant in the remake.

-Mike Miller, Cardinals WR coach in 2008, counts for me under the LaRue rule; IMDB says an ADR mixer shared that name for 2010.

-Walt/Walter Anderson. This one's kinda unique! He comes up again. He was a line judge in 35 as a line judge and also a ref in 45. The film name equal has him as a sound mixer.

Who would of thought a year ago that a UDFA would beat out a second rounder and develop into a starting caliber center?

I believe the Pats are 27-2 when Andrews starts
Point made, but I wonder how many other past and present Patriots have similarly ridiculous winning percentages when starting for the Pats, though.

Probably above everyone but Dion Lewis and whoever played only for the '07 team.

Well they went 3-5 in the 8 games after they benched him. Injuries were a huge factor but think about that for a minute. 10-0, then 3-5, then 17-2.

Welcome to SoSH, idiot.
Here's where I move the goal posts by stating that clearly the name needed to be *on screen talent*, in the original film (I didn't say sequels - DID YOU EVEN READ MY POST!!!), and play at least one snap in the game. In up-coming replies, I'll throw in some ad hominems and straw-men arguments that completely derail this thread.

This isn't my first rodeo, cowboy.

Hes no Dion Lewis. Who for those still chuckling as they count at home is currently 16-0 with the pats (3-0 in the playoffs) after going 6-16 for Philly.

Gronk by the way is 70-18,a .795 winning %. 7-3 in the playoffs.

Brady is currently at 183-54, a .772 Winning %. He has some work to do. He is also only .735% in the playoffs.

This is why almost every winning pct stat that haters try to use falls flat.
"Pats are only good because AFC East sucks" -- well, look at winning pct against other divisions.

Correct, Brady has a better playoff winning % than both Manning and Montana have in the REGULAR season
