Pats sign Patrick Chung to an extension

The #Patriots are signing S Patrick Chung to a short-term contract extension, sources say. He was due $2M in 2018, the last year of his current deal. His impressive second stint with the team continues.

That’s good. Safeties are getting a bit long in the tooth though and I don’t think anyone believes Jordan Richards could step in. I fully expect a safety drafted fairly early.

What a redemption story for Chung. Lacks the physical tools to be a Kam Chancellor, but basically never gets fooled and always is where he's supposed to be, even if that's a half-step slower than you'd like.
