Which is something that I would ever read in my lifetime.Still no hits, but Dusty did the right thing and pulled him after 6 2/3.
Well, the PCL is a hitters league.Edwin Jackson, who I had no idea was still starting games in the bigs, is through six innings against SF. He just closed the sixth by blowing 97 MPH cheese by Posey, he is only at 72 pitches.
Edit: Looks like Miami released him in June, and this is his first start of the season. He was rocking a 7.11 ERA in the PCL before being called up for this, so yeah, I'm not the only one who is surprised presumably.
Mind went through a progression:Wade Miley thru 6 in Chicago
...And done in the 7th. Single by Bryant.
Against the Cubs, no less. Chapman blew the save so he (Miley) got the win.Mind went through a progression:
I know that name.
Pitcher, Arizona--->Boston--->somewhere
Him?
No hitter?
Actually, he had a perfect game through 5 1/3 in his previous start, so it's all the more impressive.Bundy has a NO-HITTER going through 5 in BAL against the Rangers no less.
I didn't see those, but I did read somewhere today people thinking TB didn't get enough for Moore.Ironic given the complaints in today's game thread about how the Rays got Duffy for Moore.
Looks like they didn't keep count back then:Interesting that Righetti is in the dugout. Didn't he toss a no-no against the Sox? How many pitches did he throw in that game?
According to this, he threw 132.Interesting that Righetti is in the dugout. Didn't he toss a no-no against the Sox? How many pitches did he throw in that game?
I'm guessing it was Scherzer's 20 k game?Vin Scully tells us that the high pitch count for anyone this year is 124.
Thanks, figured it was up there. Wondering if he says to Bochy, "Hey, I threw 132 when I pitched mine, and it's the only reason people know my name in a lot of places. Let him finish it."According to this, he threw 132.

The fact that Moore's had Tommy John complicates this situationThanks, figured it was up there. Wondering if he says to Bochy, "Hey, I threw 132 when I pitched mine, and it's the only reason people know my name in a lot of places. Let him finish it."
