The replies are pretty much exactly what this forum would hope for. Not quite Rush Limbaugh level, but no shortage of contempt. "Legend in his craft" is a tad too charitable, given that the one time his character was really tested, he was found severely wanting. Lots of people can write sports stories and report on them, he's not a "legend" just for doing that job for a long time, and this news means there's now one more job available for someone who maybe will do better.
