0 - the power of present day Revis is that he'll shut down a team's best receiver by having the team throw around him. Since the Jets, at least as currently constructed, don't have a WR of merit Revis will probably get ver y few throws his wayEck'sSneakyCheese said:Over/under on Revis picks on Jets QB's @ 5.
Per game.

If all goes well, Belichick could make him look like a god.

We were clamoring for this for 2 weeks. Love it.phragle said:Call SJH.

soxfan121 said:No one has suggested that. Read it again. SSF specifically says "don't resign Talib" and I said "take the $8M earmarked for Talib" (and give it to Revis).
And yeah, Revis isn't happening. But it's March and I'd thank you not take "day dreaming" so seriously.
crystalline said:Oh god, I just realized that Revis is going to be the Larry Fitzgerald of this offseason.

Mallet for Revis!!!!

Smiling Joe Hesketh said:Just read the Volin article. There are no rumors, Volin's just engaging in masterbatory football fantasies and then assinging a moral value to his trade concoctions. It sounds like some ofthe Fitzgerald wishcasting we had here earlier this year. GET THIS DONE BB OR FACE THE MUSIC.
It's never going to happen
It's never going to happen! TrololololololololololSmiling Joe Hesketh said:Come on. No one here should have any patience for a reporter inventing a trade in his head (there's zero indication that either team has investigated such a move) and then assigning a moral value to making such a deal and declaring it obvious that it needs to be done. The latter is particularly offensive to me, in part because Volin's kind of a dim bulb.
Did you read the article? There's nothing backing any of it up. There's no rumors, no quotes....nothing. Volin's engaging in fantasy football musings on the front page of the sports section.
As for Florio, he specifically says the "rumors in league circles" are that other teams would be more interested in trading for Revis than the Bucs would be in trading him. Vague as vague can be, and Florio's notorious for throwing shit against a wall to see what sticks. Lovie Smith has said he wants Revis there.
I just don't think there's anything to see here. The money really doesn't make any sense. Sorry to ruin the fap-fest, kids, but this isn't likely to happen. Be sure to rub it in my face if it does.
Reverend said:So, trading the draft pick for the right to pay him $16m a year is starting to look kind of silly now, huh?
