In 1997 if i remember the year correctly, early in season in old miami arena, scott Mellanby supposedly killed a rat in the locker room, and it began the so called season of the rat. Behind john vanbiesbrouck the panthers went to the finals that year. the rats on ice after a goal became a thing.
