Interesting setup in Boston tonight.

The Wolves played in Orlando last night but couldn't fly out do to weather up north. They are leaving the airport in FL shortly and expect to land in Boston at 12:30pm.

I don't know where I posted it but I've told story recently of when I was in college and the opposing teams bus broke down. I think it's in this thread. Anyway....highly volatile game tonight under these conditions. Could it affect the Wolves tonight or the following game? Is guess it does one of them but just don't know which. A win in Boston could be a great spot for Friday when Portland is getting a shit ton against them in Minny.

Decided on playing Celtics at -8.5 (I missed the 7.5 bc I suck). I'll also be playing Winning Margin 17-20 and 21+ for a couple sprinkles. I keep reading quotes from all these Wolves players complaining about the travel situation and they are the type of team to fold tent if things aren't going well for them.

I usually don't get caught off guard.....but had no idea there was a 2pm Nets/Cavs game on a weekday today. You don't even have to look at the score.

Same. It's in Paris. Didn't notice until halfway through the first quarter, but still got a good clip off.

Also on Celtics +6, but that's been bet down considerably.

WTF!! That's literally the smashiest of all smash spots traveling halfway across the world. Those who have flown overseas would understand. Good lord I suck.

I just had the same reaction when I went to look at matchups for tonight, and, have to admit, said out loud “what the fuck HRB”

Wait a second, wasn't the game start time 8pm local? This wouldn't follow early start time parameters, right? Though I imagine there is some travel jet lag parameter?

Circadian disruptions supersede local start times. This is without getting into jet lag, neutral courts adjustments, unfamiliar shooting sight lines and background as well as nearly every player not wanting to be playing a basketball game in Paris at that moment. Literally all worlds collided here. Maybe there will be an 85-pt 4Q though lol.

Currently a combined 14-57 from three and the starters 4-27.

Don’t worry guys. We’ll have an 80 point 4th quarter foul fest even though this has been a 10 point game. Holy hell. Did I mention I cut my risk way down post new years?

209.5 and 212.5 no good!

Only play I made tonight was Houston -8.5 & -9.

Rockets in middle of road trip looking for their first win after coming close twice. They are in Detroit tonight before coming to Boston to face a slightly unhappy Celtics team tomorrow before going to Philly and NY. They know this is by far their best chance. I'm lying the wood and expect a big effort from the Rockets.

Naturally they win by 2.
Thankfully I took some +180 and +3.5 to end flat.

I’m probably done betting NBA outside of the day time first halves. Will be back for the last month of the regular season and ready to go big in the playoffs.

it’s that time of the season when it’s the Wild West out there. At least to me. My hit rate seems to go way down post New Years.

I got in at -1.5. Just under the wire for a win!

Early warning that there are a whole host of afternoon games on Monday for MLK Day.
For whatever reason these holidays with multiple day games don't seem to follow the "random day game" trend of slower pace/worst shooting. I'd have to backtest these but aren't going to have time before Monday. Be careful with these.

Good 1pm game in Denver today. First quarter (7 point cushion), first half (6 point cushion), and full game (14 points cushion) all cashed without much of a sweat.

1H & FG for me. I should have written this one up earlier. Denver's totals are theoretically capped by their snails pace and Indiana hasn't been pushing of late....nothing like they had earlier in the year.

South Beach virus running rampant through the Hornets locker room....1-16 threes midway through 2Q. Rozier, Ball and Bridges combined 0-12 from back there.

Late game. I think at some point the Suns decide to not allow Portland to score at will. I'm going to hold off on the 2Q and look for a possible Blazers TT Under in the 2H. I'll post at half if I do.

Jumped on Buf -2 vs Chiefs and the under 46.5 in that game as well.

Also set up a teaser with Philly +4.5 / under 50 for tonight, Buf +5 / under 53.5, Bal -2.5, SF -3 for next weekend which pays +400.

I’m on BUF -2, as well as Lions -6.

@HomeRunBaker and @Red Averages

I know you guys are avoiding the dog days of the NBA, but talk me out of this. Celtics -9 tomorrow.

Rockets coming off a 1 point OT win and Celtics want to avenge their first home loss of the year.

Seems like a blow out spot. Am I crazy?

No idea. Such a tough time of the year.

Celtics just blew out the Rockets, I suspect that will be fresh in their minds as well. 9 points is such a large number… anything can happen. I’m in capital preservation mode, focused more on NFL for now.

Not avoiding it at all just been too busy with MMA starting back up to post much here. I was going to do write up in other thread but didn’t have time for that either….had the single best night I’ve ever had tonight. 7-0 moneylines w 3 dogs (one +310) and props of +950, +1300, +2300, +3400. Literally pinching self.

Anyway, I’ve downgraded the Rockets once they began being over respected about a month ago. They really aren’t very good after VanVleet and Sengun, they lose to pretty much everyone except the dregs, and are on second night of a B2B following an OT win.

I never saw a -9 number but I’m sure some opened with it. The best I saw was -10 and it’s pretty much -10.5 across the board now. Celtics should win comfortably. U228 is real good here. I expect this to be bet down considerably so get in asap.

+1.

hopefully, you're treating yourself to some goodies
Nope I’m working harder today…..that’s my idea of goodies though. I’m twisted. Ty

So the Clips 1H slipped Under the 110.5 by the hook on two late 2Q missed threes by Dinwiddie and Harden. Running good this weekend.

Jaylen singlehandedly trying to turn the Rockets TT U207.5 into a loser. If not for that final second pass thrown out of bounds he just may have succeeded.

I haven't posted many picks in here lately and I'll try to dedicate the time to do more. Actually ended up discussing Celtics last night in another thread but forgot to come back here but hopefully you guys got it.

* Denver -4.5

Pacers first game home after long road trip, always a tough spot, and they have to do it without Haliburton who they have struggled without. Nuggets are cruising through a nice road trip, had a day off and should take care of business here.

EDIT: Under 239.5 is a good look here too. Denver crawls and the Pacers won't have the same running opportunities and when they do the ball won't be in Haliburton's hands.

played Denver -4.5. The under is now 237.5. Still worth it?
