What I've read indicates that the player is keen on the move to Spurs, but Porto are holding out for a bigger fee--current offer of ~€45M--was rejected, and they're looking for closer to €60M. This seems like one where Spurs shouldn't be too shy about meeting close to the middle and finalizing the deal. It looks like they have a pretty nice fish on the hook in a young, accomplished striker with term left on his contract, and getting him at that price is a good bet. Hopefully just waiting on some player sales to close.
Amrabat also seems close with the wait for outgoing transfer funds being the hold up. Poor damn Fiorentina. At least they'll be flush with cash after this window.
Spurs are apparently holding the line on the transfer fee for Adama, and frankly they should. This is not an airtight fit and Adama only has one more season left on his contract. Just as a hypothetical, I'd much rather increase the fee for Diaz by €5M than throwing that money at Adama, not to mention that Emerson and Doherty are a reasonable tandem to see out the season at RWB, whereas the backup striker is...Son??
Big movement on the Tanguy front, as Valencia and Spurs have agreed to terms on a 6 month loan. Tanguy's agent is negotiating with both Valencia and PSG as Tanguy prefers PSG, but PSG need to complete some outgoings first to make this happen. Another nugget of information that's important here is that Tanguy helps PSG meet their requirements for French players.
Spurs rejecting a loan offer from Milan for Tanganga, which is...interesting. It may have just been a weak offer, but with Romero close to returning and Dav looking like the preferred backup at RCB, I'm surprised that Spurs aren't jumping at the chance. I love me some Japh even during his recent run of bad form, but I'm still surprised.
GLC to Sevilla took a big hit with Monchi closing the deal for Martial. I wonder if his former club Betis might jump in.
Alli's best chance for a landing spot appears to be in the EPL, with Newcastle, Everton, and Southampton all making some sense as partners.
Finally, Jack Clarke has been loaned to Sunderland (now in League One) for the remainder of the season. Definitely a bummer that he couldn't land in the Championship, but at least Sunderland are playing attacking football. He joins former Spurs academy product Dennis Cirkin up Norf.
