Yeah, that's nice, but it should have the better teams up higher. The Skins and Jets should be down around his feet.Holy shit. I need to get a framed poster of that, that might be my favorite cover of all time.

Old Man Dictionary tweeted that? That's hilarious.
It was vicious tweet.Merriam-Webster twitter is fairly vicious
On NBC. I'm sure most people knew this, but it took me 10 minutes to figure out that it was running on NBC tonight before the NFL Network airing on Wednesday.Reminder to set your dvrs. Do Your Job II is on tonight.

Switch to the fumblerooski variation.Might have to bury the Faulk 2 point play for another 10 years after this
I liked it. Too much about the amazing foresight of a third two-point play and the Ed Norton Rounders poker references were a little heavy handed.I thought it was okay -- there wasn't as much details as the first one with respect to the behind-the-scenes coaching stuff I thought. Some of it seemed a bit contrived, like talking about the KC holding call and the Dion Lewis play against 55.
I love Ernie Adams though. He is amazing.
I too was hoping for more inside stuff but I suppose the Pats will only give up so much. First one was better but here's to hoping for a third!I thought it was okay -- there wasn't as much details as the first one with respect to the behind-the-scenes coaching stuff I thought. That was my favorite part. With all of Freeman's talk in the offseason, I thoroughly enjoyed thinking about him throwing shit at the TV as he watched it last night. I particularly liked the D-Line coach doubling-down with something like "this guy has problems with blitz pickup, like real problems" or something to that effect. The weirdest thing about the show was them criticizing Freeman's blitz pick up so freely. Hearing that stood out because you realize you never hear them dump on opponents like that.
Is there a way t get the volume up? I had everything on max and it was barely audible. Thanksgoingfor2

I may have missed this...why do you think this?Watching this, you can see why they went and got more speed at WR.
On the Hightower strip sack, you'll notice that there was almost a perfectly straight line from Hightower, the slot receiver, and Freeman, such that at a glance, I bet it would have been very hard for Freeman to even see Hightower, since his vision would have been blocked by his own guy in the way.Caught it last night, I thought the first one was better, mainly the on the field stuff after the SB win, but it was still entertaining.
Some of the inside stuff was great, BB had them practice two point plays as he thought it was going to be a high scoring game. They needed two 2 point conversions and got them both as a result of the pre game practicing.
Also liked how they noticed Jones ran better routes to his right planting and cutting on his left foot vs routes to his left where he planted and cut on his right foot due to a lingering injury, amazing how they pick up on the smallest things.
The Freeman bit was interesting too; when the player who's normally in there for blitz pick up got hurt on the previous play and Freeman was in there instead, they attacked that weakness and it paid off, nice overhead shots of the play showing how they disguised the blitz, Freeman did not see Hightower until it was too late.
When you watch shows like this, you understand why this team has been so dominant for so long, the head coach is the main reason, he doesn't miss a thing.
I thought in the first half they couldn't break away from Atlanta's man to man coverage because there wasn't much speed. I thought overall the Patriots' team speed was lacking in that game compared to Atlanta's. It wasn't until the 2nd half where Hogan and Mitchell were beating the M2M coverage on the outside with comebackers that the underneath stuff to Edelman and Amendola were opening up. Now having multiple WR's that have great speed will make it easier to stretch the field vertically. Where before it was only Gronk and Hogan who could do it now they can add Cooks and Dorsett to that mix. That will open up the underneath option routes and the flats for the RB's moreso than last year.I may have missed this...why do you think this?
Also, like what they called Amendola--a "trash receiver". lol
Honestly, watching this--I still cannot believe they won. It's just insane.
But the fact does remain, there were about 5-10 plays that if they didn't perfectly go the Patriots way, they would have lost. The 4th down. The strip sack. Atlanta's decision to not run.(multiple) The two two point conversions. The sack taking them out of FG range. And there are more, this is off the top of my head. After watching DYJ 2, it has kind of changed the way that I viewed that game. The lore of the game is that once Atlanta scored to make it 28-3, about 18 out of 18 things had to go right for the Patriots to win.
For sure, there were a significant number of 50/50 things that happened in the Patriots' favor, and they got some breaks -- the two biggest being the Falcons deciding to throw on 2d and short and Coleman getting hurt the play before the strip sack. But there were also a fair number of things that didn't go right. A missed extra point, a bad onside kick, Brady getting sacked twice in the red zone, a couple of big plays for loss in overtime and the four quarter on first down, the blown double pass, Brady missing Jules down the sideline, Freeman's wide open 30-yard catch after the Patriots cut it to 8, and of course Jones' amazing catch.
The truth of that game is plenty happened that you wouldn't think could actually happen and have a team still score 25 unanswered. But they just kept grinding. That's really the story of the game. No looking back, no feeling sorry, just approach the ball as it lies and play your best shot and start walking.
But part of the setup was Hightower complaining to the ref on the previous play after he was tackled while rushing the passer. I wonder if players were coached to do this also or if it was Hightower being heady. But I bought the entire Patricia part. That fucker caught a vibe, called a pass defense in a run situation, and then ran a play to get a holding call in a desperate situation because he knew the personnel and their tendencies. Just like Belichick not calling time out in 49, that's the kind of stuff you can do only when you're so prepared and so unconcerned about what's conventional that you can play an instinct. Both could have failed dramatically, but what both have in common is that they were in losing positions and they figured out on the fly what gave them the incrementally better chance.
It's a great program; from 36:38 on, the room gets very dusty, at least it does for me.Thanks!
