Zhaire Smith can’t shoot for shit. Weird fit in Philly.
Sounds like a perfect fit

Did Philly secretly hire Hinkie back? That could be a heist.Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn 20s21 seconds ago
Suns are acquiring Mikal Bridges in a deal that will send Smith to Sixers, league source tells ESPN. Suns will send 2021 first-round pick via Miami in deal too.
Ok, I didn't realize it was 2021. I think it could fall anywhere from 5-20 if that's the case. I thought it might have been 2019. I think the Heat are going to be really,. really bad this year. The Miami pick is owed in 2021. Real upside move potential, I wanted Ainge to target it. I doubt Riley let’s Miami be that terrible in a year they won’t be actively tanking but man that team has some cliff potential.
Sixers are smart to take a 6'4" guard who is not that great at free throws.Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn 20s21 seconds ago

I’m stealing Twitter eggs.I'm sure the Twitter eggs love this move
Could be one of several factors (just my opinion here, and I might be biased because I am absolutely not a fan):I agree on the regression, but the question is why? Nagging injury? I'm pretty sure the coaching was at least adequate. Has the staff turned on him?
They picked up a future first which is always good to have, made it easier to open up max cap space this offseason and got a player they really like. I don’t like it from a talent perspective of the players picked but I get the logic. While this may be a smart move by Sixers, I can’t help but think it again looks like their front office is a mess. They will def have some explaining to do around the water cooler.
You don't see anything wrong with a perimeter lineup of Simmons, Fultz, and Zhaire in todays game?Zhaire Smith can’t shoot for shit. Weird fit in Philly.
Riles won't last forever. His facial skin has already imploded to sub-gravity levels. The Miami pick is owed in 2021. Real upside move potential, I wanted Ainge to target it. Thanks Ponch, I appreciate the details.Could be one of several factors (just my opinion here, and I might be biased because I am absolutely not a fan):
A. Numerous injuries during his junior season
B. Withered mentally under the scrutiny and backlash over his repeated tripping infractions
C. Is a bit of a ballhog who needs to be the go-to-guy, and struggled to take a lesser role in the offense and play a complementary role with multiple, 1-and-done, future NBA lottery picks
That's Carmine from Laverne & Shirley. The Big Ragu is such an amazing nickname
yes, all 5-3 of the Big Ragu is alive and kicking at 66.That's Carmine from Laverne & Shirley.
Wonder what Eddie Mekka is doing these days? Alive?
66 and still kicking. That's Carmine from Laverne & Shirley.

Yeah - that statement didn't make a lot of sense. So what was that statement on Smith?
"Smith is the first non ESPN 100 recruit to make it be drafted in in the first round"?
Huh? I know Robinson was a no one in HS.
Yeah, Robinson was definitely not an ESPN-100 guy.So what was that statement on Smith?

The Spurs are fixated on Lonnie Walker with the 18th pick, source tells ESPN.
How many ways can he spoil this without spoiling it?
Nice fact check. The terrible U education trumps Discovery Channel knowledge?WTF? Jaguars and ostriches live on different continents.

The Miami 2021 pick is one of the best draft assets not owned by the original team still out there. Those assets are incredibly valuable when you're building a contender, since you can deal them for stars without the receiving team worrying that the star will devalue the pick.So Philly had the most mature wing in the draft, someone they could plug and play immediately, a good long range shooter with a solid all around game, and they move him for an athletic freak who can't shoot very well?

Atlanta has zeroed in on Maryland's Kevin Huerter with the 19 pick, source tells ESPN.
This is fun now.
Didn't he use "zeroed in on" earlier?Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account @wojespn 2m2 minutes ago

ESPN talent was told not to spoil picks. Woj is using specific words like focused and zeroed to avoid declarative statements. But make no mistake, he is spoiling picks and not abiding by the company rules. What am I missing?
I thought I read something that Smith shot well for PHI's workout. Other workouts not so much.So Philly had the most mature wing in the draft, someone they could plug and play immediately, a good long range shooter with a solid all around game, and they move him for an athletic freak who can't shoot very well?
He's competing with Elfrid Payton and Kelly Olynyk for worst hair in the league. What is on his head?
ESPN said that everything would be announced on air and people shouldn't tweet picks ahead of time so Woj is saying things like "zeroing in on" instead of "will select."What am I missing?
