Burkhead also had a nice tackle on the second Kick return.Brady -- GOAT
Burkhead -- TD, Tough running, catches out of the backfield, Blocked punt
Dion Lewis -- KR Return TD, Tough Running
Dwayne Allen -- Catch! TD!
Waddle -- Wasn't noticed or mentioned. All you could ask for.
Allen also had some nice blocks near the goal line on the Dion Lewis TD drive. His best game by far.Burkhead also had a nice tackle on the second Kick return.
Comp%Box score is pretty interesting. Brady with a good 7.8 yards per attempt but nothing overwhelming. 266 yards passing. Osweiller 221. Time of possession even. No sacks. Broncos 8-15 in third down conversions. Pats 4-11. Broncos outran the Patriots.
It was the little things. Pats nailed every single attention to detail point all night long.
Allen got a lot of congrats from folks on the sideline after his TD. It seems like he is well-liked.Is it a coincidence, btw, that Allen finally had a good game on the day he moved to third on the depth chart, i.e. different assignments and responsibilities and such?
It helps when you get 2 short fields with the punt block and the muff... not to mention the KO TD and the 12 men penalty on 4th down. That's a kind of game that gets the Broncos ST coach fired... heh.Box score is pretty interesting. Brady with a good 7.8 yards per attempt but nothing overwhelming. 266 yards passing. Osweiller 221. Not sure he really did have different responsibilities or really even move down the depth chart for this game. He outsnapped Bennett 20-7 and played slightly more as a % of snaps than in recent weeks. Is it a coincidence, btw, that Allen finally had a good game on the day he moved to third on the depth chart, i.e. different assignments and responsibilities and such?

Bingo. Loss of Wade Phillips was very underrated.Forcing Von Miller into coverage on the Patriot's "blocking" TE on Allen's touchdown was a nice bit of scheme. In fact, the overall scheme getting mismatches in the middle of the field with our TEs and RBs versus their LBs and Safeties was a fantastic game plan. Denver looked utterly confused on D for a majority of the game. Not a great night for Vance Joseph's bunch. I wouldn't be too confident in this coaching crew if I were a Denver fan.
Big FU to #31 Simmons. Take a deep breath after surviving a game against this cheap shot artist. Who needs TJ Ward?
Yeah, though even with the poor completion percentage he was still 6.8 yards per completion. Pedestrian, but not so different from Brady to suggest a blow out. Last night was Revenge of the Third Phase.Comp%
When it comes to spelling his name, the Develin's in the details.Devlin
On that sack, Brady motioned White from outside to inside for extra protection but White totally whiffed on the block. You could see how angry he was at himself afterward. The whole offensive line, and as an extension, Develin limited our QB to one sack against a team with the world's best pass rusher and a pair of lockdown cb's.
Great use of Develin moving around--helping Solder and Waddle with doubleteam chips on the ends, lead blocking for Burkhead and Lewis who both had great success hitting holes including a fourth and inches, splitting out to help diagnose coverage as he often does and even catching a pass. That is getting the most out of a fullback.
