If my team lost that way I'd be petty as hell. I would know I was wrong but its sports. You should be allowed to act a little childish, within reason.
It's not even funny anymore because it just rehashes all the jokes we've read a thousand times on the site.Boy, Deadspin really does hate the Pats, doesn't it? (don't they? whatever)

This one is especially dumb, pretending to be coming from a Massachusetts resident that hates the Pats.
It's basically everyone you hated from deflategate all rolled into one. To the point that I'm not 100% sure it's not satire.
The pats, with their rediculous consistency, for sure threw a monkey wrench into the plan. At that time, her comment may have even made sense. It's interesting that from about that time, 12 different franchises have represented the NFC since the start of the 2000 season. In the AFC over the same time period, that number is just 6. So the lack of parity seems to be an AFC issue, where it's been rare for any team to breakout without great QB play.Parity my ass.
Even the non-Pats on the site were like "Dude this article is fucking awful."The biggest sign that the site is up its own ass and irrational about the Pats, and Boston sports for that matter, is that none of these articles are funny. They can't even effectively satirize their own Boston strawmen anymore.
I've probably seen thousands of episodes of Jeopardy (it was part of my father's nightly rotation) and that may be my favorite clip ever. But no one will get the question right.
Here it is. From yesterday. These people say they are AMERICANS!!

Ha. I think about movies like Ocean's 11 or the Italian Job, and I think about the amount of work and energy and effort and planning and cost and skill that went into those (fictitious) thefts and part of me thinks...yeah, if you can pull THAT off... you totally deserve the loot.I’d like to see someone try to cheat their way to eight Super Bowls.
As though it’s that easy. Oh! Just cheat! Why didn’t anyone else think of that??
I mean, if you could actually pull that off... at what point do you deserve it anyway?
I'm Arsenal fan, and I've noticed that they do this for teams in pretty much every sport. They pick a popular team or two, and then just write troll-job articles. It's their thing. I really don't care and just avoid the site now, but it keeps popping up in my news feed even when I tell it to stop. The biggest sign that the site is up its own ass and irrational about the Pats, and Boston sports for that matter, is that none of these articles are funny. They can't even effectively satirize their own Boston strawmen anymore.
That would be on the NYJ "main boar"Was there even one thread about the Jets?
Serious question: if your friends have kids, how do they approach the fanship inheritance question? Do they let their kids choose a good team, or force them to be Jets fans?I don’t even understand what number 2 is referring to and I’m sure as shit not going the rabbit hole to find out what they’re implying. Jesus shit they’re pathetic. I e got three friends from college that are Jets fans and even they have flat out admitted they have no hope and they’re jealous of us.
On a site devoted to Red Sox fans, you have to ask that?Serious question: if your friends have kids, how do they approach the fanship inheritance question? Do they let their kids choose a good team, or force them to be Jets fans?
I believe the Simpsons has a quote capturing the distinction here:On a site devoted to Red Sox fans, you have to ask that?
Honestly not sure, they’re all nowhere near me as none of us stayed in DC. One has two girls, another has two boys and the third is single. Only one is even in the NY area and it’s not the one with the boys, so I’m guessing they probably aren’t Jets fans as he’s smart enough not to force that down their throats. Never thought to ask, really.Serious question: if your friends have kids, how do they approach the fanship inheritance question? Do they let their kids choose a good team, or force them to be Jets fans?
I'm already over it.I'm sorry, but why should anyone give a shit about what this guy says?
This is a discussion board. We're discussing it.Everyone here is so sensitive.
And some of that discussion is people that are incredulous someone would say the Patriot Way is not the only successful strategy in the league and that they wouldn’t want to play here. The horror. This is a discussion board. We're discussing it.
I posted it because I was wondering if it's actually TRUE - that Patriots' players aren't having fun here. And some of that discussion is people that are incredulous someone would say the Patriot Way is not the only successful strategy in the league and that they wouldn’t want to play here. The horror.
The first response was: "I'm sure there's some truth to what he's saying." Then there's "Why does anyone give a shit?"And some of that discussion is people that are incredulous someone would say the Patriot Way is not the only successful strategy in the league and that they wouldn’t want to play here. Other people exercising freedom of choice exhibiting preferences that do not optimize my own personal shortsighted and subjective utility angers me.The first response was: "I'm sure there's some truth to what he's saying." Then there's "Why does anyone give a shit?"
Who was incredulous? The response is mostly "Whatever"
He conceded Pats win-win-win no matter what. Those are pretty easy words to say after winning the Super Bowl.
But how much more work would he have been willing to do, in retrospect, to guarantee getting that feeling now that he knows what it’s like—like, if he didn’t know for sure he would ever get it?
Pats go to the Big Game 50% of the time...
Except that's not what he said. Now stop picking on everybody. And some of that discussion is people that are incredulous someone would say the Patriot Way is not the only successful strategy in the league and that they wouldn’t want to play here. The horror.
