Here's my best guess at the CURRENT 53-man roster, pre-draft.
Offense (24)
QB (2) - Jones, Zappe
RB (5) - Stevenson, Robinson, Strong, Harris, Montgomery
WR (5) - Thornton, JuJu, Bourne, Parker, Slater
TE (3) - Gesicki, Henry, Sokol
OL (9) - Brown, Strange, Andrews, Onwenu, Reiff, Anderson, Cajuste, Ferentz, McDermott
Defense (26)
DL (7) - Barmore, Davis, Guy, Wise, Ekuale, Godchaux, Roberts
LB/Edge (7) - Board, Bentley, Hall, Judon, McMillan, Uche, Wilson
CB (6) - Mills, Wade, JonJones, MJones, JackJones, Randle
S (6) - Peppers, Dugger, Phillips, Schooler, Davis, Bledsoe
Special Teams (3)
K (1) - Folk
P (1) - ??
LS (1) - Cardona
Obviously I'm not getting all these right but I'm close. Given that, which position group needs the most improvement? I say.... quarterback. But I don't see how they improve there during the draft without trading a ton of picks to move up. Don't see them doing that.
Overall, the roster is, I think, pretty solid. Remember they won 8 games (and could easily have won a handful more) with their roster last year and with godawful offensive "coaching". Adding BOB should change a LOT, and I even think the roster is improved. If this roster ^^ had a stud QB, they'd win 11 games minimum.
I think WR is a need. OL is a need. CB is a need. What else? How can they best improve this group?
