Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s in LA today so you can rule that out. Unless a deer ran out in front of him, I don't think we'll like the reason of the crash.Only TMZ has picked this up yet.
I assume no snow/ice in the area?
CNN is covering it live now.Only TMZ has picked this up yet.

Did you see him on the telecast sunday? He was NOT looking good. Plus he has a history of opiate abuse and just had back surgery.Jesus, that looks bad. Definitely the end of his pro golf career.
I'll say I think it's presumptuous and a little gross to assume that he was DUI. These kinds of crashes happen every day. I've known 3 people who have been in a rollover and none of them were high.
It's not gross, the dude is a history of being high while driving. It's the bed he's made.Jesus, that looks bad. Definitely the end of his pro golf career.

I get what you're saying and I know people make the connection. We talk in other parts of the board about not speculating without facts. Feels like a good place to use that to not judge a severely injured man based on his worst moment. I'm saying it feels like we can wait to have that discussion until we know more. It's not gross, the dude is a history of being high while driving. It's the bed he's made.
I'll assume he's driven in the 5 years since his DUI. Accidents do happen in good weather, shockingly.Did you see him on the telecast sunday? He was NOT looking good. Plus he has a history of opiate abuse and just had back surgery.
Add in a daytime single car roll over with no bad weather..... kind of insane not to suspect the possibility of something like that.
Who knows what will end up being the cause, certainly might not be a DUI. But hardly reckless to consider the obvious.
Quite the goalposts. Anywhere from a broken leg to amputation On the table with that reportHe suffered "moderate to critical" injures.

I agree. Moderate to critical is using words to say nothing.Quite the goalposts. Anywhere from a broken leg to amputation On the table with that report
He looks high as a kite. Slurring words tooThis is the Sunday interview mentioned upthread. He looked pretty ripped.
Hopefully not self-inflicted and hopefully he makes a full recovery. Sad news either way.
Sounds like he has a cold. Maybe cold medicine here? This is the Sunday interview mentioned upthread. He looked pretty ripped.

That’s some potent cold medicineSounds like he has a cold. Maybe cold medicine here?
Well, moderate leg injuries ARE critical injuries to a golfer, at least professionally. So at least on the career front it's hard to find a silver lining in what has come out so far.I agree. Moderate to critical is using words to say nothing.
I don't think it's gross. He has a history. We can all sit around here pretending that none of us are thinking of it being a possibility, or we can be honest with each other. Of course there are other possible causes of the crash (I rolled over my pickup truck in college after hitting black ice). And if it turns out that it wasn't drug related, that will be awesome...I guess. It won't really change much in the grand scheme of things. He'll still be suffering the same after effects, and I sincerely hope no one here will be rushing to dunk on Tiger for a DUI in which he is severely injured and the only victim.Jesus, that looks bad. Definitely the end of his pro golf career.

I think we all know accidents can happen in good weather., and I'm sorry you have had a lot of personal history with that.I'll assume he's driven in the 5 years since his DUI. Accidents do happen in good weather, shockingly.
Anything is possible. He looked and sounded high as fuck though.Sounds like he has a cold. Maybe cold medicine here?
Yes--one involves moral condemnation and one does not; one involves a greater level of speculation than the other (jaws of life plus reptuable reports of surgery gets you a lot closer to considering this a career ending injury than the fact of an accident gets you close to the conclusion of self inflicted or DUI).Is wondering aloud about a possible DUI and different than others who immediately concluded his career is over?
I know compound fractures aren't the death sentence they were before antibiotics, but eeeeesh.Per NBC News: Woods was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of compound fractures in at least one leg, law enforcement sources said.
Well that’s what has kept him from winning over the past year. How often does Tiger Woods drive himself around? I know I’d seldom do so if I had his wealth. He might be a bad driver.
Looks like there is a Genesis logo on the side of the car in one of the accident pictures so maybe it's a loaner GV80 from the tournament. Entirely possible it's not his car, he's wasn't used to it, and just got himself into trouble. Hopefully that's all there is to it.There is a law enforcement report that said he was speeding and lost control of the vehicle. Probably as simple as that.
