Yeah, that was scary. As it was happening, I was thinking Reggie Lewis or brain swelling - something bad. Never seen a delayed knockout like that before.Hope Burgos is ok, that was very weird. He seems ok, but people better keep an eye on him.
Yeah maybe don’t showboat when your opponent is doing the Berbick. Should’ve been a ko there. Edwards was sleepy and Diaz wasted too much time fluffing pillows.
I follow UFC pretty religiously and can offer my take. Mcgregor is not a serious fighter anymore. He’s a spectacle and a showman and that’s that. I fully expect Diamond to annihilate him and Conor will probably go on to fight Nate Diaz again, probably on the same card as Nick/Lawler, and that’ll sell an insane amount of PPV buys. If they can somehow land Jon Jones on the same card, that would be the most bought PPV in UFC history and nothing would touch it for a long long time.I'm barely a casual UFC fan, so I'll ask what might be a stupid question: why is there zero chatter in this thread about Saturday's Poirier-McGregror 3 bout?
Isn't it considered a big deal? Or is McGregor not taken seriously?
If you look at the last four PPV cards and then try to make the argument this is as good as them, we have zero to discuss.Yeah he won the first round on all three judges scorecards last time. I think Poirer is the favorite but would love a vintage Conor performance.
I'm surprised anyone says this card "kind of sucks". The main event and semi main event are as good as you can get without having a title involved. I do not know much about the women fighting but Greg Hardy vs Tuivasa should be entertaining and even though O'Malley is fighting *another* bum he is fun to watch.
I'm very excited for the card.
Sounds like something a casual would say.If you look at the last four PPV cards and then try to make the argument this is as good as them, we have zero to discuss.
Personally, I'm more interested in the Ryan Hall fight on the under card.
this didnt age wellHall cannot get fights. No one wants to fight the guy.
Wasn’t a prediction, just a description of what has happened with his mma career (though I would have picked Hall)this didnt age well
Works for me. I’ve already channeled all my available potential irritation for Stephen A Smith and have none left for anyone else.O’Malley is going to kill that kid, but I agree I’d love to see an upset. Some of his hype is justified but he’s also super protected.
I watched an interview with Ryan Hall the other day and came away very impressed. He’s an intelligent guy.
As far as the last 4 ppvs cards. They’ve all been fantastic. But this is better than the 262 card and I say that as a big Dariush fan. But what an odd burn to throw out. Let’s just all enjoy this great sport instead of getting into a pissing contest?
I mean, you could get Mayweather -250 at Bovada right before the fight due to all the square action signing up. That was a fucked up betting event and comparisons don't really mean much.OMalley is a heavier favorite than Floyd was against Conor
I thought it was -600 and touched -400. That’s really funny that it got to -250.I mean, you could get Mayweather -250 at Bovada right before the fight due to all the square action signing up. That was a fucked up betting event and comparisons don't really mean much.

Yeah, it wasn't -250 everywhere, but I definitely hammered -250 at Bovada while I was standing in line for a bar to watch the fight. Bovada is the first place new square players would sign up (at least back then prior to US legalization), so the odds there will be very different sometimes.I thought it was -600 and touched -400. I was fortunate enough to be dating a woman who was in Belfast at the time. I forget what I got but I was happy.Yeah, it wasn't -250 everywhere, but I definitely hammered -250 at Bovada while I was standing in line for a bar to watch the fight. You’re a fanboy. We get it.That’s frustrating. Everyone is now going to make excuses for Conor like he wasn’t going to get mauled the rest of that fight. Really disappointing
Ive never watched Poirier before but it was pretty clear to me he was handily beating McGregor. Pretty ridic for McGregor to act like his leg cost him a chance at winning. IMO his leg saved him, thus the "doctor stoppage" garbage. You’re a fanboy. We get it.
Theres no excuses to be made. The guy’s foot was ready to fall off.
What the fuck are you talking about?Ive never watched Poirier before but it was pretty clear to me he was handily beating McGregor. Pretty ridic for McGregor to act like his leg cost him a chance at winning. IMO his leg saved him, thus the "doctor stoppage" garbage.

I guess money talks, but from a competitiveness standpoint, not really interested in seeing this again.
I dont understand what is confusing about what I wrote. He was about to just plain lose, and decisively. That would have meant finit. What the fuck are you talking about?
