Any fan who has watched Tomlin coach the Steelers for the past decade will not be surprised one bit today's game.

Here the hallmarks of Tomlin's teams:
- win a game you need to win (last week at Cincinnati)
- allow the team to act as though they just won the Super Bowl after the game (see the Tik Tok videos that went viral)
- have a home game the next week against one of the worst teams in the league
- fully under estimate that team
- play with no urgency once you fall behind
- commit multiple foolish/undisciplined penalties
- score a meaningless TD late in the game and allow the players to celebrate like fools
- keep your chances of finishing .500 or better alive (who gives a crap about this if you do NOTHING in the postseason?!?)
- give a press conference after the game and mention how "this is not The Standard"...actual Mike, it is...this is who you and your teams are.

Yeah, that is close. Ball moved a little (it is allowed to), but I can't tell if it aided in the catch.
Either way, good drive from the 49ers to hopefully score some points. I loved watching the Purdy scramble.

Sometimes, I see Kittle make a play and think, "that's what Gronk did before the back injuries."

I think you're underestimating the Pats' will to lose right now. They can still pull the killer turnover out of their bag of tricks. Didn't have to use that one today.
Might have to on Thursday, if they're going up against Trubisky

Wait, 12 rushing TD is the Niners single season record? I would’ve guessed that Roger Craig, Ricky Watters, Garrison Hearst or Frank Gore would have hit that number, but nope.

Craig caught a ton of TDs, too.

But, yeah, that is surprising. 12 TDs isn't a crazy number.

That sequence was just high level football. Hurts holds the ball, scrambles to the outside with Bosa just about to get him and throws a strike to Brown. This game is quite the palate cleanser for the 1pm ET games.

Greg Olsen can stop crying about how Hurts was hit OOB a couple of plays ago. I don't think that was penalty on that play.
The penalty on Greenlaw was legit. And I don't think coaches should be taking swipes at players.

I’m not even sure the Patriots and the 49ers are playing in the same league or rules.
Shanahan knows how to run an offense. He knows how to evaluate players. And scheme them. And he knows how to use them to the best of their abilities.

The difference is stunning. It's a much different game.
