I wish they staggered the start times, particularly with a west coast game. I'm also more interested in Rams/Seahawks than the Football Team/Eagles game that is in market.

Watching the Eagles v WFT and the refs just made the biggest hash out of a freak interception I’ve ever seen.

The most astounding part of it was when the announcement came and the ref literally lied about the call on the field, claiming that the pass has been ruled an interception. It had not, as multiple officials waved the play dead and even the announcers stated “it was ruled incomplete.”

Washington was screwed by this mistake, because they had an easy pick-6. (Though not for long, as they just scored.) But what astounded me was the shamelessness of the red announcing a blatant lie over the PA system.

Big Brother probably got it which definitionally might make it the ruling on the field. They don’t announce those as overturns afaik.

I have never seen that before simply because there was no question- the refs blew the ball dead, raised their fists (to signal fourth down) and everyone walked off the field.

Then, after Big Brother called down and said “wait a minute” they claimed that they ruled it that way all along and never explained why, if they rules it right, they didn’t allow Washington to return the ball?

Man, wish I didn’t see this Gilbert guy was starting. Would have kept me from wasting my money making some bets on the Eagles.

Everything you are saying is correct but the most I think they ever say is “after further discussion”. Must be something with the bookkeeping of what the eye in the sky goes down as. I have switched to the other game but I saw the play live and had no chance of getting that call. I was surprised when I saw the replay.

The games are technically part of the Direct TV Sunday Ticket package. So if you happen to have the Sunday Ticket Online, you can watch it there.

Otherwise, there isn't an option other than a random stream.
If you can avoid the result, the NFL Network is showing the replay of Seahawks-Rams at 11 pm. It's like watching the NBA finals in the late 70s.

Bird, Parish, McHale, you know, all of that team against Houston.

Early 80s that one.
For me, it was listening to Game 6 of the 1980 Sixers-Lakers series on the radio, hoping the Sixers could take advantage of Kareem getting hurt at the end of Game 5, only to hear Magic destroy Darryl Dawkins while playing center at times. I remember watching the first half hour of the delayed broadcast when CBS aired it at 11:30 pm because I was sure what I had listened to was some sort of Orson Welles Mercury Theater like radio hoax. (Magic played center? And scored 42 points while pulling down 15 rebounds with 7 assists?) Sadly, it was not a hoax.

I think maybe Meyers and the analyst are. This is the worst announcing team I've heard in a long time
Chris Myers should have retired years ago. He's unlistenable.

I've watched about 10 minutes of game time of PHI/WFT and two things strike me about the Eagles. 1. Why pass when you can run through WFT like that. 2. Jalen Hurts has missed 3 open receivers.

I never saw any of that game, tape delay, replay or otherwise. I did read about it in the paper the next day and was like what the hell (About Magic). Never doubted anything on the court from him after that.

Maybe soon after that the Celtics - Lakers put to bed tape delayed NBA playoffs forever with their marvelous playing level/competition.

As stupid as it sounds. I was pissed off that Magic got the Finals MVP over Kareem that year. Magic was amazing in that final game, and was excellent throughout the series, but Kareem was devastating for the first five games before getting injured (33.4 pts; 13.6 rbs; 3.2 asts; 0.6 stls; 4.6 blks per game to 21.5; 11.2; 8.7; 2.7'; 0.3 for Magic.) Kareem getting hurt at the end of the fifth game seemed to open a door for the Sixers, but Magic slammed it shut. But still, his getting the Finals MVP seemed to ignore who the true star was for most of the series.

The 1982-83 series between the Sixers and the Lakers was all in primetime. I'm not sure but CBS might have signed a new deal that year and maybe the league required it. Or it may be that the Finals had moved to so late in the month of May and early June that they weren't interfering with May sweeps, which used to be a big thing for network TV.

This game going over would certainly be something. I have a parlay on both unders tonight. Didn’t think this would be in jeopardy.
