KC is scary good.
They were scary good until they came to Foxboro in January last year too. This year, they come to Foxboro on December 8th, we'll beat them in that one, lock up home field and then beat them again in Foxboro in January like last year.

Correction, we beat them in their own house to go the Super Bowl.

Mahomes release is crazy. What a special talent.
As a guy that goes to a lot of 49ers games (my wife’s favorite team), I sure wish the 49ers would have drafted him instead of Thomas.

Edit - tremendous respect to KC for trading up and taking him at 10. What a great pick.

Sounds like it. He's 46. It's incredible he is still wearing a uniform but it seems like he can't kick the football any longer.
He’s been merely passable for the past couple years and now finally seems to have hit the wall. Too bad he didn’t go out on his own terms.

That is a long time on Bill Polian’s exploding offer. And it seems so as well.

Passable is aggressive. He was above 85% on FGs in the past 3 years. Career average in Indy was 84%. He was 81% in New England. Every year for the past 3 years, his long was 54 yards.

He was perfectly solid. Now he can't hit a kick. Everyone hits the cliff, eventually. But he was definitely more than passable in the past few years.

I'm a 49ers fan and totally agree. The Trubisky pick gets a lot of grief, but Thomas is arguably a worse pick.

Bears gaining a lot of yards on long sweeps. That's all they can do at this point. Trubisky has put his team in the end zone zero times year to date.

Nice pass Carr. That was swell.

These refs who blow would be dead balls early should be suspended. There’s no excuse for it when you have the replay as a fall back
Especially since turnovers and scoring plays get an automatic review (and this was both).

Gillette Stadium isn’t even 20 years old and it looks like a minor league stadium compared to all of the newer venues.
stfu else kraft will hold us up for $1B or move to St Louis.

I missed where NO was good. Brees me no Brees. That D is terrible.

That’s fair. League average the past two years has been 84% on FGs and 94% on XPs. Vinateri was right around those numbers both years (a little better on FGs and a little worse on XPs — I’m sure the latter is what I was remembering).

That's a ridiculous roughing the passer call against the Bears. I'd be pissed if they called it against someone who hit Brady for that too.

And in the Chiefs game, the refs don't blow it dead, and rightfully so, and it was much closer than the Saints/Rams play.

Pats still need to work out a number of issues on offense before we try to measure them up against KC. They are a wagon. Guess missing Hill doesn't really matter.
I’m sure someone very close to KC could mention some things they need to tighten up. Last week, Foles and Gardner Minshew had a combined passer rating of 128.5 against them (mostly Minshew). By all rights, we should not have beaten them in the AFCCG in January but we did.

Chiefs v Ravens next week is actually pretty huge as far as early week 3 contests go. The Ravens are probably the third best team in the AFC.
