I don’t like the safety there. You aren’t guaranteed to get a significant gain in field position, you now outright lose on a TD (XP meaningless), and GB is in a Hail Mary situation either way.

It was, punting from the 20 with no rush vs the back of the end zone was the right choice.
It worked out for them. Not sure the 2 pts was worth 15 yards. Taking the safety sets you up for like a 1 percent chance to lose in regulation. Just punting it from the 2 was a 0 percent chance to lose in regulation.
Taking the safety is fine... A free punt from your 20 and the extra time off the clock is worth the 2 points
2 point conversion exists, honestly the most likely way for GB to win at that point is probably blocking the punt so eliminating that is big
Once they decided to kneel, the safety made sense. Had they run the ball for three plays, they could have iced it with a first down. At the very least, you run more time off the clock and create more space for a straight punt on 4th down. Of course, you risk the possible penalty or fumble, but you also risk losing in regulation by handing them two free points on the safety.
