And the D hasn’t been good today. The saints have failed to execute until now, though I give some deference on D because the two best guys are out.
At this point, this is the only thing worth rooting for. A complete bottoming out.
They get behind big early a lot, so it makes it hard to run. They're just a bottom tier team now.
Yeah, I think this is probably about right, and that's probably good. I'd prefer 2 wins, though.
They have several soft matchups where a win or two ought to happen - @LV (because lol Josh McDaneils the HC), WAS, @NYG, @PIT, @DEN, another NYJ
But who knows at this point.

it is and always has been the personnel.
It would be one thing if it was just Mac. When your whole operation is terrible then really the right thing for BB to do would be to step aside or finish his career elsewhere.
Besides failing to land talent the biggest issue seems to be he has no coaching bench. No discipline here which was a hallmark.

It's going to be awfully hard to outtank the Bears etc. for a Caleb Williams... I just dont see Bill doing it, or Kraft firing Bill midseason.

We will see him this year. Zappe will start next week and will eventually get benched himself. They are probably best served with Zappe just chucking deep balls to Boutte.
The Saints aren’t good, and yet they have at least 4 guys on O that are better than anyone we have on the roster.

Nick Folk is 10-10 on FGs this year with Titans, 2-2 outside 50. He was 32-37 last year with Pats and 4-5 outside 50. They decided to fix something that wasn't broken in same way they opted to move on from Jakobi Meyers. Uncanny ability to make the wrong decisions on players

While we aren’t going to need a lot of kickoffs at this rate, Folk was atrocious kicking off last year and was not a long term solution for the position.
