Dak had a fresh play clock to burn 25 seconds there and didn’t realize it. Amazing how poorly coached NFL players are. Clock restarted on the whistle.

This feels like an early 90s SNF game. Need Paul McGuire talking about this shit.

What a fucking shit show. That was ridiculous. The game is basically unreffable with all this unduly complicated bullshit.

The game ends with a 1st down on 3rd down and it's 3rd & 10.

... And they go for a TD for some reason. McCarthy??

They basically got 50 seconds by blowing through the substitution issue and could have had 1:10.

Joe, what this win says for the Cowboys is that even they can't screw up enough to lose to the Chargers

I was at a get together at a friend's house watching the game with a bunch of people who HATE the Eagles, including the host, and the moment that game ended he immediately flipped over to that postgame show to revel in their misery.
Beautiful story

Joe Buck basically saying the Cowboys redeemed themselves. Winning by 3 against a team that regularly chokes in clutch situations? If anything, that looks bad.

Even if you were a Philly fan, how could you listen to that seriosly?
I don't drink, but whenever the Eagles lose, you can make a drinking game out of how many times the guys on that show will question why the Eagles didn't run the ball more, show the toughness the fans expect of them, and mention how the team didn't care as much as the fans.

I don’t know about redeemed but they won a big prime time road game and are 4-2, one behind the Iggles with two games to play against them. I hate the Cowboys, and believe like everyone here that McCarthy and Dak will always find a way to fuck it up in the end. But 4-2 is 4-2. They are going to win 10-13 games this year.

Remaining schedule is tough. 13 would be quite the season

There might not be a more likeable coach than Saleh and a more hateable coach than Sirianni. This made me feel good.
Really re Saleh? I’m not disputing you, I don’t have strong feelings either way in him, seems kind of meh to me. What makes him so likeable?

It’s amazing how many iterations of the Chargers we’ve witnessed over the last 20 or so years that are this exact combination of talented and self-defeating.
It’s like that one building on your local main drag where every store or restaurant that goes into it, fails.

Sometimes I forget I'm not on a niners message board during the non-pats game threads. I have a lot of positive context around Saleh, love the fact that he left finance to start at the bottom and try to coach and always liked his well thought out answers to questions as the niners D coordinator. Also, the guy wakes up on Thanksgiving morning and the first thing he does is eat a piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast. That's a winner's move.

Also as I try and think through it, who is his competition for likeable coaches? maybe Mike McDaniels if you find his quirkyness endearing? Dan Campbell has an authentic likeability to him I guess. There's not a lot. Andy Reid?

I will also admit that my full on seething hatred of Sirianni also played into the Saleh love on Sunday.
