It's crazy that LA went from having 0 teams to 2, and we expect the fans to actually show up. This is like when Florida went from 0 MLB teams to 2. Nobody is shocked that even when those teams are pretty good, they have no fans.
Basically slid as he got hit. Any QB could get 15 yards any time they are willing to take a hit with that rule.
Shouldn’t be missed that McCarthy shockingly flubbed the time management there. Pissed 20 seconds down the drain with 2 TO, next play was a scramble that went nowhere and holding call.
Then willingly let the clock run down from eight to three and took a timeout to kick a field goal inside the 15 with a $40M QB.
It’s amazing how many iterations of the Chargers we’ve witnessed over the last 20 or so years that are this exact combination of talented and self-defeating.
Re-thinking about this.. A QB can give himself up going head first. If he was deemed to have been giving himself up there then the spot was correct.
I don’t know why this is and I picked them to be good this year, but the particular way the Chargers fail reads like a comedy skit to me. The coaches beard makes me think he is in on the bit.
Ha! We still have 10 more penalties to go just to reach the embarrassing performance by the refs in niners-browns.
We opened the season with the ref expert explaining how the league explicitly doesn’t want OL penalties called, and yet here we are.
It just feels like a game where they're trying to call everything..unlike every other game where little things are let go.
I'm only watching because of two fantasy games.. and there's only one game on. But man they're trying to make it unwatchable.

That botched throw to the flat - late and off - is often the difference between winning and losing these games, very good v great QB.
