I'm rooting for the Chiefs, which means the Niners will win.

The Niners have been pissed off all week with getting the inferior facilities in LV and hearing all of the stuff about how great the Chiefs are, I think they have a collective chip on their shoulder and are going to play like it.

SF 38-14

I honestly can't see more than like a 10% chance SF wins this game. The Chiefs are playing their best football of the season by a long shot, have the best QB in the world, arguably a better defense, and Reid > Shanny. I would love a 9ers win and I think a great CMC game could be the ticket to pulling it off, but I think it's more likely I'm checked out before the end of the 3rd quarter in a Chiefs blowout than a niners W. Hope I'm wrong!

SF has a 59% chance to win this game according to the gambling odds, which is usually a decent indicator.

10% is. . . .I am not even sure what it is.

I think this is the game Spags cements himself as an all-timer D coordinator. The 9ers have not been executing as well of late. I think he rattles Purdy with pressure up the middle, Chris Jones goes off and Chiefs win 27-13 or something. Mahomes goat sploogefest ensues. (He's the Tiger to Brady's Jack blah blah, blah blah.)
The Tiger/Jack comparison is interesting.

Due to Tiger's personal life and injuries, he will not match Jack's overall career record of majors. And not just majors wins - majors runner ups as well.

Jack: 18 major wins, 19 major runner up, 9 third place
Tiger: 15 major wins, 7 major runner up, 4 third place

Jack blows Tiger away in terms of major championships, and that is the single biggest measurement we can use for greatness. But of course golf is more than that. Tiger has 82 career wins to Nicklas' 72 (Jack has many more runner ups there too though) and Tiger's impact on the game is almost impossible to overstate. And many people believe that Tiger has more talent than Jack had (hard to say with technology, but let's say).

It will be hard for Mahomes to catch Brady in some all time categories. But in terms of talent and impact, Mahomes might end up being better than Brady.

Anyone else putting money on the Chiefs so they don't rage when Mahomes wins another one? The analysis goes like this: "How much would I pay for Mahomes not to win another one. OK. Put that amount of money on KC."

No.

I am putting money on SF so I can dance on the Mahomes loss.

Nope. Sticking to props that don't involve the game winner.

I started a thread in Fisk but it's not generating any interest so far.

It is a very very thinly viewed forum.

My view is you're better off starting the thread in BBTL.
Thought of that but decided there. It's been pretty active during the playoffs and figured those people would be interested. If it dies, it dies.

I’m getting around 200 for a KC win in a playoff pool. I didn’t bet solely on this game. I’m still not sure I’m rooting for them, but I certainly wouldn’t mind.

Here's my take: 30 is the magic number. If KC scores over 30 tonight, they'll win. If they don't, they'll lose. I'm betting they don't. 28-27 Niners.

Couldn’t care less who wins, but my son is pulling Niners so of course it will be the Chiefs to maximize the amount of whining that I have to deal with.

If I wasnt a huge niners fan, as a neutral, I’d be taking KC by 10.

But I am and I’m sufficiently drunk enough to say Niners by 60. Let’s go!

Mahomes, 2 weeks off after an easy playoffs with 2 rings in the bank. I’m taking the Chiefs on the money line .
Given my track record this playoffs, bet your house on the 9ers.

The Chiefs will win on some bullshit call like they always do.
I don't know what will happen in the future but when NFL fans complain about the Chiefs being the next iteration of the Patriots and you see Mahomes play, it feels foolish to bet against them.
The Chiefs D is gonna give the Niners more problems than many seem to anticipate. Mahomes is Mahomes - the Chiefs win if this is a one score game for most of the fourth quarter.
these were pretty good.
