Nice analysis. Wrong, but really well done.

No one hates the MFYs more than I do, but discounting them as a legitimate threat is silly
Hate to say it, but I like their chances. They are pretty well constructed and will grind the crap out of opposing staffs. I think they will be very hard to beat in seven. If the Indians don't take them out, I am prepared to be miserable in a few weeks.

Chad Green looks like a guy who really suffers from the no facial hair policy. He could use some in the worst way.

Why doesn't everyone talk about that policy more? It's so fucking dumb. It's kind of an embarrassment, no?
Why doesn't someone like Judg...er, I mean Kevin maas, just go ahead and grow some. What are they gonna do, hold him down and shave him or bench him?

Okay, maybe Maas isn't capable of facial hair, but the point stands. Perhaps Gray?

Just get Betances on the mound with men on base...he's the only guy who I think just might shit himself. Chapman maybe a couple months ago, but he seems to have righted the ship.

Anyone catch the audio on the long Frazier ball to right caught by Kepler, two kids leaning over the wall screaming at Kepler, one of them screaming "you suck".
Reminded me of that picture of the a-holes in the RF stands during I think the Texas NY playoff game.

Anyone who discounts the 2017 Yankees is nuts. A Pythag of 100-62, the 2nd most runs scored in the AL, the 2nd fewest runs allowed.

I'm skeptical that they have the Rotation to make a deep run (Sabathia and Gray are both out over their skis, with an ERA a run lower than their FIP, Tanaka is hit or miss, and Severino had some sort of yips tonight).

Still, they won't be an easy out for anyone, and with that pen could overcome their weaknesses.

CLE has better team ERA and OPS than Yankees.

Hou has a FAR better OPS and is fifth to NY's 3rd in ERA, but they also now have Verlander.

What's the wrong part?
Well, if you include Verlander, you also have to acknowledge that the Yankees added Gray, Robertson, and Kahnle. The Yankees overall pitching staff is better(especially if a few starters catch fire, my original point) and the Astros do not have a comparable shutdown bullpen.
Cleveland and the Yankees offensive stats are almost identical. Cleveland certainly is not clearly better offensively.

Whatever, take them lightly. I fucking hate them and hope they get swept. But they're not the pushover you're trying to make them out to be.

There's 40,000 of those guys in the toilet every night. Seriously, just about every crowd shot reminds me of that gif.

They've got a puncher's chance, but Houston and Cleveland didn't win 100 games by mistake.

Vaunted Yanks offense is starting Greg Bird's sub-200 BA, the corpse of Jacoby Ellsbury, and Todd Frazier, who's whatever.

Shutdown bully managed to lose 24 games this year and we've had front row seats to Betances and Chapman meltdowns on multiple occasions. And we just watched their best starter get rocked.

I'm not saying the Sox are any better, but Houston and Cleveland should be favored for good reason.

If you're watching this game and thinking it's an indication of how dangerous the Yankees are, I think that's a little silly.

Yeah, that's what it is. This is the first game I've watched all year and this team in pinstripes seems awesome.

How do people feel about a potential Red Sox-Yankees ALCS?

I'm honestly not sure I could handle it, even though the rivalry isn't what it was 13 years ago.
