Amusingly, they blew the call on the field saying the Bills' player was out of bounds but replay showed that they were accidentally right, just glances off Freiermuth

Good thing there is replay to clean up all these. I just don’t recall pre-replay that there were this many blown calls (whether or not this was specifically blown)
Replay has dramatically changed how refs call plays though. They typically would rather “blow” a call in a way that allows for replay than not.

That ref wasn't reviewing it on that small surface tablet was he? Tell me they have a bigger screen somewhere that other officials are looking at. That's what bugs me about basketball reviews the sideline screens are too small to get a definitive view.

That was dumb. The on-field official clearly (and understandably) missed the call, but we have to defer to a call that he could have made, but didn’t.

First team with TDs by 2 different TEs in first quarter of playoff game?

Another thing Aaron Hernandez stole from the world.

The ball hit Freirmuth in the face ask when his ass was out of bounds. At least that’s what I saw though I’m starting to doubt it…
If that's the case then obviously the call was correct. I didn't see it touch him.

Not when he’s touching out of bounds.
his body is partially out of bounds when the ball glances off him, it;s like the touchback rule, any part out of bounds makes you OOB, so when it glances off his helmet... he extends the OOB all the way to the ball.

I can see the argument that it might not have touched him, but to me it looked like it.

Romo needs to be stopped. I know SoSH is well above average for fan intelligence, but people HAVE to be over him by now, right?
Seems a lot of people around here don’t like Collinsworth, same with Romo, but the posts complaining about them are more annoying than they could be. I personally think that they, along with Aikman, are head and shoulders above the rest.

I think the ball clearly did not hit his helmet. One angle was pretty clear imo.

It’s possible that happened. I think it’s more likely that it didn’t. But we have to pretend that’s what the official saw, even though he plainly made a mistake in thinking the Bills player who recovered the fumble was out of bounds.

Credit where it’s due: Steratore explained it nicely.

They should stop saying stupid shit. And that's also damning with faint praise.

Yeah, I’m watching without audio, I didn’t even know what they initially called.

Agree completely on Collineorth and Aikmen, not so much with Romo.
