Just got a new Samsung TV and I want to be able to wirelessly see what's on my computer screen. The TV found my wireless network, no sweat. It has its own browser, which is clunky as hell to use. Apparently mirroring is not possible unless the "device" has a mirroring app. Can't find anything like that on my computer. I do have a Chromecast and a free HDMI input on the back of the tv, but I didn't need the TV to be "smart" to use that. What about the Nexus 9? I have Googled Nexus 9 and mirroring but haven't found anything. I have no idea where to look on the thing itself. Actually, I prefer using my computer b/c it's easier to use and I have a ton of recipes on it that I'd love to see writ large on this new kitchen tv for use while cooking. So is Chromecast, with all its redundancy, the way to go? TIA.
