Totally agree that is what the Bulls WANT, but if they can't unload Rose and Butler makes it clear that he refuses to play with Rose, what can they do? Sure they can sign him and let him sit out or play pissed off, but this is such a player's league that he will A) probably get what he wants and B) he could easily cost his team wins if he is not fully invested. The problem with moving Rose is I think the only way a team trades for him due to his injury history is a non-lottery first rounder. And the Bulls would never give him up for so little, so I cant see a trade for Rose really happening.
If they do a sign and trade with Butler, the teams most notably connected with him are the Laker, Knicks and Spurs. Boston definitely has superior assets, chances to win(omitting the Spurs of course), and a clear path to top dog than any of them. From what I've read he likes Chicago, but wants to be his teams #1 option and Chicago doesnt really want to pay him max money. It will be interesting to watch it all play out
And to actually respond to the thread, I would trade for Rose under the right circumstances, but the max I would offer is the LAC first. I would give up nothing that has real value
