It's embarrassing how much I have been refreshing Twitter today waiting for whatever this move would be.

Berti looks interesting, 34 but a 2.4 bWAR player in each of the past two seasons.

Anyway, dude is the platonic utility infielder: plus defense at multiple positions, elite base runner, no power and doesn't walk but makes contact and doesn't strike out much. He won't kill you starting once or twice a week and is an ideal backup. Nice get by Cashman.

An unfortunately good move.

He's got a better bat than you might be giving him credit for. He goes opposite field a lot, so I think he'll hit well in the Bronx.

He'll probably be a fan favorite as well.

A better hitting, lesser fielding version of IKF. But fields plenty good enough.

I already saw one Brett Gardner comparison.

Yeah. . .I could see that. He's not as talented with the bat, but he's fast.

He's one of those guys who has enough of those smart plays and dramatic moments that you're always rooting for more. I'd say imagine more of a 2023 Pablo Reyes type player, with the same kind of streakiness. Versatile, in the end a bit averageish. . .but when he's hot, it's great to see, and so you forget the 0-4's.

YMMV obviously, but I think he's a solid pickup.

Yeah, always a sneaky target in fantasy for steals when he gets the playing time.

Pretty surprising that last year with the rule changes we didn't see a big surge in steals for him, but maybe it was a playing time issue.
