With the shuttering of Grantland I'm out my 2-3x/week NFL podcast. That's okay, as fun as Mays and Barnwell are, I was looking for something a little more substantive anyway.
What are the best NFL and Patriots podcasts out there?
What is the angle of the podcast?
What is the vibe?
Here's one from me:
Move the Sticks
Synopsis: Two former pro scouts contribute their knowledge on all things NFL and NFL draft.
Hosts/Personalities: Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks -- Frequent guest appearances by Brian Billick and Mike Smith
Typical segments: Top 5 QBs, top draft prospects, revisiting old scouting reports, day in the life of a scout, break-down of upcoming/recent games, look inside NFL evaluation process
Angle: 100% the scout's perspective.
What I like: No hot takez, look inside the scouting process, i think they're honest in their rankings and evaluations, cover things you won't hear in most mainstream podcasts, & get a scouts perspective. Like the incorporation of the college and draft stuff.
What I don't like: They don't cover much in-game strategy. They pretty much always say nice things and they don't get too critical. Hosts can be a little too general and a little too vanilla. Don't care much for the Billick segments.
Other: NFL Network hosted...who I try and not support...
--------------
There was recently an ESPN podcast people were saying had the most informed scout in the biz but I can't find it. Can anyone remind me?
Yes, SF121, I'm going to give ITP a try.
I'm sure this could go into Omar but I think it makes more sense here.
